Is 18 weeks too early for U/S determination of sex?

Hi all - I'm having an Ultrasound on Nov 6th, I will be 18 weeks. Is it too early to find out the sex of the babies?

According to my doctor yesterday.. NOPE! It's not too early!

 

The tech told us two boys at 18 weeks (that's when we discovered there were two in there!) and she was right.

 

We found out at 17.5 and thats when we found out there were 2 also.. the Tech was right also.. B/G twins

Nope, I found out it was b/g at my 17w3d u/s. And actually at 13w, the tech told me she thought Baby B was a boy, and she was right, of course we didn't put too much stock in it at that time.

We found out two boys at 17 weeks so I would say no!

 

I have this fun baby calendar that tells you daily were the baby is in it’s development and it say at wk 15 day 4 “Baby’s sex is distinguishable now. If you have a u/s it is possible to detect the baby’s gender this early”. So I think 18 is good!! And for me, by pure coincidence I have some sort of high risk u/s screening on that day (wk 15 day 4) :a_smil09:

 

hi, i just found out the other day at 17.5 that i was having two girls!! Goodluck!!

 

As most pp's have posted, we found out that we were having b/g twins at 17w2d-it was very obvious. If babies cooperate and your sono tech is pretty good they should be able to tell.

We found out 1 sex at 17 weeks, had to wait until 21 weeks to see the other.

 

Nope. I believe I found out the sex in our 18th week.

 

We found out that we had two girls at 15 weeks. I hope your's cooperate!
