This has to be teething, but where are the teeth?!?!

    Let's see....
    Cranky - check
    Drooling buckets - check
    Diahrea - check
Diaper rash from toxic acid diahrea - check check
Chewing on EVERYTHING (seriously anything that gets within range of their snapping gums - they act like terapin turtles!) - check

And this has been going on for two weeks!!!! WHERE ARE THE TEETH?!?!?!?! Is this normal? How much longer can this go on?

My girls have had all the symptoms for months and there is absolutely no sign of teeth. They are only 5 1/2 months adjusted, so I think it will still be a while, but from what I hear, the signs of teething show up several months before any teeth actually appear.

Mine were teething for what seemed like forever. Natalie got her first two teeth at 7 mo. old and Nathan just got his at 11 mo. old.

Same boat here. All the symptoms (though not diarrhea) for a month--narry a tooth in sight. Our Pedi said that the drooling/chewing/etc. can go on for months before a tooth appears. Big sigh.

I swore my girls started teething back in May but still no teeth! I check everyday thinking for sure the chomping and gnawing on everything with the drool and nothing.

Ughh... That was not what I wanted to hear. :( Just lie to me next time, okay?. :) Tell me things like "Teeth must be imminent!" or "My babies did that for exactly two weeks before 10 teeth popped through all at the same time." Or how about "My babies only teethed one time for those two weeks, and then all the teeth came in painlessly after that!" Because if this is what they are like everytime we get a tooth I am not going to make it. Don't they have something like 26 teeth that have to come in? Not once, but twice? [Sigh]

I have to say teeth move. They come up, you can see the bulge, and then boom, they are gone again! It can go on like this for a long time. Sorry!

There's hope! My DS only had the acute symptoms (drooling, fussy, diarrhea, chewing chewing chewing) for about a week...then out popped a tooth! He's been a pretty happy guy since, and he's even getting his second bottom tooth. I really do think the first tooth is the hardest for them to deal with (at least, that's the way it was with my oldest DS). My DD is starting the same thing now...let's hope it's short-lived!

You'll know the tooth is close to erupting when you can actually feel it below the surface...a very hard, raised bump.
