Introduction

Hello everyone,
I've been posting a little and reading a lot on this board but haven't formally introduced myself. My name is Evie. We have two girls Cadence 7 and Emerson 4. We're expecting identical twin boys May 8th although because of my pre-term labor history it is more likely that I will give birth sometime early to mid April. I am really hoping to make it to 37 weeks which is as far as I made it with with both my girls. I usually start dilating around 20 weeks. This time NOTHING! Whooho! My husband teases me and says this pregnancy is going to 42 weeks!
Besides my wonderful varicose veins and getting big about five months earlier then I usually do, this pregnancy has been uneventful. It is very strange to carry two. They are almost constantly kicking and moving. They are sharing a placenta but have a very thin membrane separating them. So far they are measuring almost the same. At my 24 week us they were 1 lb 7 oz and 1lb 5oz. My doctor is extremely pleased.
The weight gain has been crazy since the morning sickness went away. I been steadily gaining 2lbs a week. This past two weeks I gained 8 lbs in two weeks! I don't know how much more weight my usual 105lb frame is going to hold. I am already as big as I was with my both my girls.
My girls are extremely excited. My husband and I are excited now as well. It took as a while since we weren't planning on getting pregnant and certainly not on having twins. They don't run in either of our families so it was a shock for everyone. Although I know now that identicals are just a random act of nature.

Congratulations and welcome. I am so glad for you that the pregnancy is going so well this time. I too as big or bigger than I was full term with my other two children. I hope your pregnancy continues going well.
