probably the smoothest loading, running and looking twinforum ive found out there! kudos to you website ninjas making this place possible.

lil bit aboot me:

im 29, a father of one hyper awesome toddler boy
my wife is preggo with twins, we're due feb 16th 2010, but preparing for late jan or early feb to be safe.

we are dealing with disgustingly crippling morning sickness (my wife is of course) so i have assumed the roll of primary caretaker of our little slice of suburbia and have earned an entire new respect for a mother's ability to spin plates like most mothers do
while im learning alot about how to be a good dad and husband to one kid and one wife, im trying to get as much exposure to good twin parenting before they attack (yea, i use war references alot, affirmative?) as i can.

i mentioned in my first post elsewhere that we discovered the twin pregnancy at the ER a few weeks ago. i knew when she started labeling things A & B instead of left and right that i was one virile poppa.

to all momma's and poppa's out there, i also run a compounding pharmacy in aurora, il, so i happen to have the pharmacists in charge wrapped around my finger in regards to getting answers to the questions i have, as well as the questions other parents have
oh, the pharmacists are my kid's's grandparents as well.
if you have any questions about something specific, im sure i can get you an answer that wont require squinting and sifting through 8,000 google adwords and blogs about the benefits of the acai berry and viagra at a discount.

Hi Joel Congrats on the twin pregnancy, and welcome to the forum. I just joined a few weeks ago and am so happy that I found Twinstuff!

My husband is like you trying to arm himself with information in preparation for the twin attack! For us these are our first children so the learning curve will be steep, but we couldn't be more excited

Oh, man. I'm so happy for you- congrats, of course- our twins are spontenous (while on birth control) -my husband is also incredibly virile. :good:

I can't swallow pills and I may have some specific questions for you down the road as most docs/nurses are really very supportive/caring in this respect.

and tamaras, as soon as we can we will - due to the high riskiness of our last child, theyve determined this will be a closely watched pregnancy too so we have our next ultrasound in a week.
rough on the car, with our house being in yorkville and the highrisk ob and the new obs office we have to see all being in geneva - about 40 minutes with traffic - but so far every appointment coincides with a cubs game, so we get to listen to a good part of the game in the car - go cubs.

ooooooooooof course, we just made that drive again this evening cause my toddler seems to have a FRICKIN HERNIA
huge bulge sticking out of his crotch every so often. he strains to poop and says owie. that's some buuullll.
first pyloricstenosis when he was 21 days, then tubes in his ears, now an INGUINAL HERNIA
i swear, if we didnt have a sense of humor we'd be basketcases
dude's a trooper, screw it, just another bump in the road for our lil linebacker.
