At 8 weeks along I was scared to death I'd see the same thing on the ultrasound monitor the first time I was trying to get pregnant 6 months prior - evidence of a blighted ovum. So imagine the surprise of DH and I while getting an early sonogram done, and hoping very hard to hear the doctor say he saw a fetal pole with a heart beat, when he said that there were two. Shortly afterward I started lurking in here from time to time.

At 12 weeks I got to see Twin A and Twin B again - their hearts still beating and they were both still there.

At 15 weeks Twin A wasn't cooperating so I didn't get any pictures of it, but the technician and perinatologist could see Twin B very well and got pictures of its profile, front, and gender! The perinatologist thought that Twin A was also a boy, but said that he couldn't commit to an answer because of it being difficult. Both were measuring on target, have plenty of fluid, and a three vessel umbilical cord. I'll be seeing him again April 2nd for a full anatomy scan.

16 weeks along I saw the OB/GYN who is sure Twin A flashed him, and its a boy - so I'm going to go with boy. For the first time I saw Twin B hiccup, and the OB/GYN pointed out movement on the monitor which was the fetus breathing. I still sometimes can't believe it.

Now that both genders are known I figure I should start registering them, but these being my first children I don't know where to begin! I don't even know half of what they'll need! It doesn't help that I feel tired all of the time, and the doctor told me to clear my calendar after 32 weeks because I won't be up to doing much of anything after that point. That leaves me about 15 weeks to do everything - including finishing a complete kitchen remodel, clearing out a storage room and make it into a bedroom, and make my current bedroom into a nursery. I know I should have started much earlier, but I had been freaked out that something would happen to change everything! /vent

Any advice would greatly be appreciated!

[IMG] and [IMG]! I had twin boys last April! They were like yours didn't share a thing. After they were born I thought they were identical, but my dh disagreed. Well after almost a year I'll know for sure.

Congrats on them! When I would post on here people recommended having your shower by 28 weeks so you still would have time to get what you needed and just in case you had to go on bed rest.

I did not have a shower I just got to tired and then at 29w I was put on modified br and strict br at 31w because of pre-term labor.

    Good luck to you!

[IMG] and Congratulations on your twins! [IMG] I know what you are going through. I am building a new house and it is almost finished. I still have to get my kitchen together, floors put in the den and bed rooms and the final coat of paint. It is crunch time. I just hope we can have it all done by the time the babies arrive.

like the pp's said, make sure to have you baby shower early that way you will be able to go and get the stuff that you need before you may be put on bedrest.Make sure hta tyou ahve the neccesities for them to come home with b/c if all else fails, you can always decorate the nursery after you come home. i know it's not what you would want but dont stress yourself over having it completed..i'm sure alot of mothers on here would agree that the babies slept with them(the parents) for the first few weeks anyways wether it be in the bassinet or pack and play or some other means...dont stress. Only do what you feel that you can do, dont push yourself. i found it easy to go and do things here and there...not alot at one time. i'm not sure of the link for it right now (i'm sure a mod could link you to it) but on this site there is a list of stuff that you will need for them that's pretty handy. Good luck! Congrats on two boys - i had mine in June and they're so much fun. Where are you from by the way?! i know tons of mothers on here always offer help towards others that need it.

So you will want 2 swingsthis one or this one, 2 infant to toddler rockers
YOu will want a pack n play if you plan to have them sleep in your room in the beginning, one crib and mattress (they may or may not like to sleep together, miracle blankets, 2 infant car seats, a double snap-n-go or a duoglider. Lots of bedding, they tend to either pee through or barf all over everything, dont forget mattress covers, lots of sleepers for the first few months, and LOTs and LOTS of diapers.
