    Hi all,

Does anyone know when you can introduce yogurt to kids? 6 months? 8 months? Wait until a year?

    Thanks.

We did it at 6 months. We just do the plain yogurt. I will mix it with ceral, fruit, or even veggies. OR i will serve it alone. Either way, They love it!

I did it about 7/8 months. We use Yo Baby yogurt. They love it.

I think I remember getting the go ahead for yogurt at 7 months. They have eaten it almost everyday since then.

Same here. We now do our own mix of yogurt, applesauce, fruit spread and oatmeal ... cheaper and less sugar since we use 2/3 plain yogurt.

We were told 9 months by our pedi. I think I tried around 9 and they did not like it. Around 10 they gobbled it up.

We did 8.5 months. I use the chart on www.wholesomebabyfood.com as a guideline for introducing new foods. We use the plain yogurt and mix in a fruit and some oatmeal to help with the consistency.

We started at 8mo and they took to it immediately! I just buy plain, whole milk yogurt and mix it with my own fruit purees, veggies, grains, just about anything you can think of. They've had Yo Baby a few times and LOVED it, but there's a lot of sugar in that stuff.

My friend's pedi said it was fine at 6 months (her baby had a yeast infection and he said the yoghurt would help). She did the yo baby yoghurt. I plan to start that soon and my girls are 8 mo.

We were given the ok today at our 6 mos appt. As long as there aren't chunks in it that they could choke on.
