wow! i have absolutely no advice, but i wanted to welcome you to TS, and say Congratulations!!! 2 sets of twins is awesome! Are you expecting identicals? Oh, and I think if it were me, i would read books to the boys about getting baby siblings, let them see you holding baby dolls, things like that.

Wow! Two sets of twins! Are your first identical or fraternal? What will the new set be? Good tips from 2for1... I agree, just talk to them about new babies, read books, maybe if you have any friends with small babies have a playdate and let them see you holding the baby. Congratulations!

Congrats and welcome to the double sets club!
My older set were 4 when my 2nd set arrived. They loved being the older brothers from the get go and were really into being helpers when they were first born.

Mine were 2 when the babies arrived. Brace yourself for a fun ride....LOL I bought them both dolls to hold and feed, but they really could care less about them. It took a good 6 weeks for them to adjust and stop acting out, but now they are starting to be big helpers. They replace binkies, get diapers, get burp rags, etc....

PM me anytime. I need a couple of two set buddies to keep me sane!!!!

J & T were 19 months when E & A were born. They were excited, but jealous. I had my husband bring J & T to the hospital the day after they were born to introduce them. They were in shock. Then we did normal nightime routine (at the hospital) except actually going into their beds before my husband took them home. I kept as muhc normalicy for them as I could. When fedding time came, I had prepared little rubbermaids of activities that then could do why I fed the babies (right next to them). I would verbally interact with J & T so they would not always gets upset during fedding the babies time. Please PT any time with questions. Now at 1 and 2 years old, they are inseperable!!!!

For all those (AMAZING!) mommies with two sets of twins, I was just wondering who has identical and who has fraternal? I always wonder about the probability of having twins again (my boys are ID). Anyone with identicals then fraternals? Or two sets of identicals?

Both are fraternal twins. Ironically the twins themselves do not look that simular. But Jordyn and Avery have a lot of simularities and Taylor and Ellie have a lot of simularities. (One from each set look alike) Strangers totally point this out frequently, it is strange. Tara

Both my sets are fraternal. I have the same thing as previous post. Mia and Aidan have similar personalities and looks. Ava and Matthew have similar personalities and looks also. It's so bizarre!!

we didnt really have much time to prepare ourselfs, we didnt have a chance to get to our twin girls.

when the boys came into the world, daddy brought dakota and balie in to sit on the end of the bed.

Daddy: "look girls, your little brothers are here"
Dakota: she had the most excited face "BABY"
Balie: crawls over to me while i was holding both boys and starts poking them both, she was so confused.

the next day they were fine, so excited to see thier brothers again, they got ot hold them, Dakota absolutly loves Ryan, she can tell wich one is him even when I cant.
