Introducing Myself

Hello!

I have been lurking on these boards since I found out at 19w that we were expecting twins. I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy and delivered by scheduled c-section at 37w5d. The last few months have been rough as I am sure you guys understand but I am finally feeling like I am keeping my head above water. I love reading your posts for advice and inspiration and I hope to be able to contribute my stories and what has worked for us!

I am a SAHM and will be for the next nine months as I am on maternity leave. I work as an RN and I am hoping to go back to my job casually after the girls first birthday. We are starting postnatal yoga on Monday and will be starting swimming lessons in January! The girls are smiling and wanting to laugh but not quite there yet. They don't really notice each other yet but I am hoping they will soon.

They were di/di and we are thinking about having them tested to see if they are identical. What do you guys think??

I'm bad at determining ID vs frat (since mine are obviously frat!), but I just wanted to welcome you and tell you that your lil girls are darling!!!

Welcome! I vote ID, looks like a little weight difference in their faces, but features look identical to me !

but get them tested, you'll never know for sure otherwise and it will drive you crazy with people asking you if they're identical and people telling you what they think.

we tested our di-di girls and they matched 15 out of 15 markers !

Oooooh. Yours are hard to tell. They look VERY alike in their features but the weight difference in the face throws me off. Hmmm. Too tough to call.

Hi!! :welcome: I think they look ID, but you should definately get them tested. I have a friend who had di/di girls and she got them tested and they are ID. GL! Beautiful babies BTW!

so glad you came out of lurkdom!!
I know that weight differences play quite a big part in making ID's not look alike (as was the case with me....)
but looking stricktly at their facial features - I'm going to say ID... but feel free to post more pics for us to decide upon (and of course to just oogle over!) they are such C.U.T.E. babies!!

Definitely ID! (Mine were di/di, and even though I just "knew" they were ID I still had them tested. It is fun to know for sure! Welcome to TS!

We are planning on getting the girls tested at some point. I contacted a local doctor that does research on twin zygosity and she is sending me the information package next week!
