Introducing myself

    Hi everyone,
    my name is Kirsten and I found out about this forum from a friend (Jenn) who had twin boys last year.
    I am currently 21 weeks Pg with Twin Boys. We just found out last week and I have finally come out (a little) of the land of denial that we are pregnant. :)

    I am 37, my DH is 40 and these are our first children. We tried to get PG for close to 4 yrs, tried Clomid, IUI's and finally in May our first IVF/ICSI worked and here we are.

    I look forward to being part of this community.

    Wow, you just found out it was twins? That must have been a shock!

    You'll get lots of advise and support here; glad you found us!

    Oh no I apologize, I knew we were having twins since our 6 wk u/s , since we did IVF of course we knew very early.
    We just found out last week, that's it's 2 boys......wow did I sound blonde or what???

    I would encourage you to join our Big Sister Program. You will be matched up with another Mom with older twins and she will answer any questions you have and support you throughout your pregnancy. It's a great program. Click on the link in my signature for more information.

    We have a similar story. I also tried for 4 years, using various meds and methods, and it was our first IVF that worked! I understand about being in sort of denial about being pregnant. After trying for so long, it's hard to get used to the idea. I wish you and your family the very best!!
