    Hi Ladies,
My name is Kristy and I am a 32 year old stay at home mother of one (Ava 21 months old) and 27weeks 2days pregnant with identical twin boys. My official due date is June 29th, but you know....

My Dr. just put me on official bed rest today due to a SUPER THIN cervix. It is measuring 0.8 cm and opens completely when they press on my belly. Fortunately, I am still at home and have an at home uterine monitor that I use twice a day. I am taking Procardia every 4 hours.

Just a little background on my pregnancy. I was told at 20 weeks that I had early stage TTTS. One baby had 10cm of fluid and the other 2.5, but their weights were never more than 15% apart. I never qualified for the placental surgery. I took it upon myself to do research via the web and put myself on a high protein diet, Boost shakes and rest to help with the TTTS stuff. It seemed to help, but we have been having good and bad Dr. appointments ever since. Sometimes the fluids are close to even and sometimes they are bad. Now, they are most concerned with pre-term delivery.

Looking forward to connecting with you other bed rest mommies!
    Kristy

I have been on bedrest since 26 weeks, and procardia. Preterm labor, not for same reason. as you. I'm due May 18th. Good luck with your bedrest. This is a nice site. :)

    Hi Kristy!

I was also on Procardia for PTL/uterine irritability and short cervix. I had a cerclage put in at 22wks and was put on hospital bed rest.

This site is a great source of info and support! Good luck and keep us posted!
