Introducing Hannah and Mary

    They were born April 16 at 34wk +2 days, via c-section and were transferred to a NICU 1 1/2 hours away right after birth. I was able to see and touch them breifly, but didnt' get to hold them until I was released 2 days later. They were released after about 3 weeks, just in time for mothers day. Mothers Day was our first full day home together as a family. They didn't have breathing or heart issues, but were small and were on feeding tubes for 2 weeks. My water broke and 2 1/2 hours later we had babies.

    and i just wanted to give you some big :hug:s - i was reading a bit of your blog & remembering back to having almost all the exact same feelings. i think what your doctor said about doing whatever makes you the best mom you can be is absolutely true! that definitely makes you a wise mom - not a selfish one. :hug:
