My name is Kim - I have 2 beautiful girls - Natalie and Carley - born Jan 27, 2007. I would like to say Thank you as I've been reading these forums since I was pregnant and they've helped so much. These are my first children - I turned 40 in March - I think it was my age that "promted" the twins. I've heard sporadic ovulation will do it! I tell people I had a going out of business sale! :D I've been reading all about early risers and the different sleep questions which have helped, but I have a question. My girls started sleeping through the night - 8Pm - 4 am around 3 mos. VERY exciting. they are 7 mos now and it seems like they are reverting back into their "newborn" sleep habits. For the past 4 days they've been waking every 2-3 hours. crying! it almost seems like they aren't fully awake - but crying - loudly - in their sleep. Needless to say, I do not know what to do and I'm exhausted. I have some ideas why the sleep change.... One - me and their Dad have split up (for the best) Me and the girls have been in our own place for a month now. Things are alot calmer without Dad around and they seemed to adjust fine - but who knows. My other idea is that I've had to change daycare 3 times - not by choice really - But my Mom says it's probably the day care changes. My sister is watching them - which is wonderful - but this has just changed - she just started Aug 29. I've read baby wise - and was happy to learn I was doing alot of the stuff already - whooohooo! and I don't want to get the girls in the habit of eating when they cry - which I've been doing as I've been getting very little sleep and work full time. I'm looking for advice as I do not know what to do. They sleep in seperate rooms and still wake each other with their cries. Any suggestions??? TIA! Sorry so long!!

    LOL! That's cute!

At that age the two biggest culprits for night waking in my opinion are teething and some kind of developmental growth spurt(crawling?). Have you tried Motrin...I find it works best on teething pain.

I hope you get some sleep soon! And again, Welcome!

    Welcome, welcome!!

David has started to fuss a bit in the middle of the night, after sleeping through for 2.5 months. I suspect he's starting to teethe, but not quite sure.

Okay you have caught my attention!! Your girls were born on my favorite brother's birthday (seriously!). And you have a Carley!! I wanted Carlee, as it is my mom's maiden name, but couldn't convince hubby. I love your comment about a going out of business sale. OMG that is the best line ever!!

I agree with the other posts, maybe teething, growth spurt or maybe just all the hub bub with the changes. It is NOT fun when they go through these stages. Notice the time? I have been up for an hour because of a child who has started waking at 4 a.m. again. I am right there with you!! :hug99:

I had a scheduled c-section for Jan 29 - but my water broke 12:00 am Jan 27. I'm glad that the girls got to decide when they'd arrive into the world! Carley was the first name we picked - Natalie was Jack for the first month after conception as I was sure I was having a girl / boy. Last night was better. I have alot more "sympathy" for them when I think about what their little minds have to wrap around when different people have been watching them etc. - plus teething too. They are also actively crawling and pulling themselves up to standing on anything they can. -including their cribs - . It's so cute to go in and see them standing in their crib like "help meeeee!" :) I will try tylenol - I've been using teething tablets - which my ped hates - I like them and don't feel like I'm giving them "medicine" all of the time. but I'm sure motrin or tylenol will help better with pain. Thanks again for all of the advice - I've used this as my "bible" too. Also - coming to these forums - especially early in the morning/ middle of the night - I don't feel so alone. Isn't it great? :)
