Hello everyone! New to this forum. I'm expecting twin boys in a few weeks! My husband and I finally agreed on the name Barrett for one of our boys. It's a type of rifle, and my hubby loves to shoot. He also likes being able to call him "Bear" for short. I didn't like it at first, but the name means "strong, like a bear" and I'm really into strong names. So we've agreed on this name for one of the boys.

The other boy is so hard to figure out!! I really want the name to mean something strong! BOTH boys only have 2-vessel umbilical cords, and so I like names that mean "little warrior". I had the name "Trace" picked out for Baby A for a long time, since at first I thought he was the only one w/ a 2-vessel cord. It means little warrior. But now that I know both boys have this "defect" i'm not as attached to this name for him.... and I've gotten poor feedback on this name. I do want the name to be well-liked in general.

Some ideas for names that go well with Barrett? Thank you!!

I really like Trace! The above is a good list of "warrior" names and many of them go great with Barrett. If you want it to match but not match with Barrett how about another rifle name or bullett or some other hobby.

Like: Barnes, Wynn (for Winchester), Hunter, Alexander, Blaze, Browning, Colt, Charles, Marlin, Maverick, Ross, Smith, Wesson

I can't find any other names that have the meaning you want that aren't already listed. The only other name I would add is William.

i would go for Gabriel or Alexander.

between these 2 Barett & Gabriel seem to go better together. but sometimes it doesn't matter as long as you like both names!

I know brothers named Barrett and Bronson. They aren't twins but I think those names are unique and go well together

    How about Barrett and Archer?

I love Archer and we almost decided on that name for our boy who is due in a couple of months. But it just doesn't feel right to me, so we're most likely going with something else.

Another vote for Gabriel and Barret. I like how Gabe and Bear sound as nicknames.

How about David? (as in David and Goliath, triumphing over huge odds...like your boys)
