Just curious ... When did yours start interacting more with cooing, talking, "playing"??

    Edit: with each other

my girls just started stealing toys from each other this month. sometimes they smile & giggle at each other. as for actually playing together, from what i've read that is a developmental milestone that usually isn't reached until much later. i believe it's around 1 year that most babies begin engaging in parallel play - where they'll play with the same things side by side but it's not considered playing together.

Mine steal toys from eachother all the time! They are 8 months - only one is crawling though, and no matter where I put her down, she always ends up by her sister and steals her toys. They also constantly take eachothers pacifiers from eachothers mouths (they use different ones) - it is funny!

Mine are almost 6 months and really just started noticing each other more. . .They will now reach out for one another and stare at each other, but still not really playing. Also my DD loves to try to hold DS's hand and in the typical male fashion, he wants nothing to do with her holding his hand! LOL =)

They probably noticed each other around 3-4 months, did not really start playing together 5-6 months

i think they started noticing eachother at around 4 months. now they love to hold hands, laugh at eachother-especially when one is being burped and the other is laying in the boppy, they think that is hilarious for some reason, DS is always rolling or scooting over to DD to take her toys and he loves to pull her hair. it never fails, if i walk away for a minute and hear screaming, i know for sure he is trying to rip her hair out! poor little girl, i know how she feels, he pulls my hair like crazy too!

Ours have been noticing each other since just before 4 mos old, and have been "playing" in the crib together for almost 2 months, stealing each other's pacis, using scissor holds and other wrestling moves at first. They smile and try to play now when nursing (I tandem nurse), and often hold hands while nursing. Well, DD will try to hold DS's hand, and DS keeps pulling his hand away :catfight: (I really wanted to use that smiley!)

They interact more and more every day, and I think it started in earnest about 4-6 weeks ago. (4.5-5 mos).

It's so much fun to watch the relationship develop! Enjoy your babies!

Mine are interactive with other and have been for about a month. They noticed each other before and would look, stare and pull hair from about 7 months on, but now they really play with each other. The favourite is stealing the toy one is playing with. When DD cant reach what DS is playing with, he laughs at her. Its halarious! They also keep each other company and will happily play together for long periods of time in the playpen. On their own they dont last half as long!

Every day I would put them next to each other for various periods of time and just let them go at it. At around 3 months they started holding hands a little but didn't really look at each other.

At 4 months I put them in their exersaucers directly across from each other. It was amazing. They just stared at each other and squealed in turns. After that, they have become increasingly more aware of each other and playful.

At 5 months I noticed them really starting to interact much more.

Now at 6 months they are starting to show little signs of separation anxiety if I take one from the room and leave the other behind.

Yesterday at dinner William reached over to Ronan in their high chairs and they held hands while staring at each other. It was adorable and warmed my heart. I tried to get a picture but once the camera came out they became more interested in that.

For us it was around 5 or 6 months. They loved chewing on each others hands they thought it was hysterical! We would sit them in their high chairs (the kind that attach to a chair) and they would play footsies. Once they could sit they started the toy stealing phase.
