Instant Oatmeal

Does anyone give their little ones instant oatmeal? Is the low sugar okay to give?

 

I have...I think it's fine.

 

I use the low sugar and the berries and cream. I have to pulse it a little in the mini processor because they do not love the texture but, they eat it at a Stage 2 1/2 type consistency.

 

I gave them the regular quaker oats kind. There favorite was the Maple kind(I think that was what it was called). Or Maple cinnamon maybe? It was Maple something, LOL

 

I would love to switch to something besides baby oatmeal, but I can't get mine to accept the texture. They throw a FIT.

 

We use it! They love it!

 

I used it before 1 year - and still do. My girls like it with fruit mixed in so I use the gerber fruits (baby food) or fresh fruit now that they are a little older. I think the low sugar is fine to use, but it is very bland (have you tried it yourself?)

 

We use it too - both the reg and the low sugar (we can only get maple and apple cinnamon in low sugar here). Just make it with more water or milk unitl they are used to the consistency.

 

I just tried my son with it and he didn't like the little apple pieces (it was apple and cinnamon) but was fine with it when he got bites without the apple. So I am going to try cream of wheat. It doesn't have the texture like oatmeal. I am going to give him the plain still but am going to switch it up everynow and then with the cream of wheat.
