When I was in Cali and had no one to help me with the girls they got used to sleeping with me. We are now working really hard to get them back in their own beds which is going well. There's just one problem...Now I can't sleep! I end up sleeping with a teddy bear(fully dressed...another story) last night and it still took me hours to get to sleep.

The bear is dressed because if she isn't dressed Jessy takes off her diaper and if she doesn't have a diaper on Jessy cries cause she can't put the diaper back on!
I went through the same thing! For a while I used to lie awake for hours and then would finally sneak into their room and sleep in a sleeping bag on their floor! Crazy- but the sound of their breathing and being near them relaxed me....Then, a mouse ran near my face one morning and I stopped sleeping on their floor (another story). I started taking melatonin to help me fall asleep and it really helped. No side affects and non-habit forming. I am better about falling asleep now...I don't always stay asleep but I am working on it... Good luck to you! Love the teddy bear story....
Sorry to hear it! I have insomnia too sometimes. I have a scrip for Ambien but I try not to take it unless it's been several days that I haven't slept well. DH is always teasing me that I just need to CIO. But give yourself a little time -- we probably have an even harder time adapting to change than the kiddos do!
awww, thats so cute! I made a promiss to myself when they were little that they wouldnt sleep with me unless they were sick, and i've kept it, I love the nights they do sleep with my though.

The funny thing is that one of them is always in the room with me! We co-bedded till they were about a year.
