How long do they actually eat this? My dd is not a fan, she will eat it but not all of the time. It is becoming less frequent. She would rather have cheerios or bread and the fruit and veggies. Any ideas would be great.

Mine ate cereal mixed in all their purees until they gave them up at 13 months. But I have read on here lots of times of other babies who hate it and they just go right to fruit and veggies without issue.

When did you stop feeding it to them separately? Thank you.

I stopped feeding it to them separately shortly after they began fruits because I mixed it in with their fruit. I didn't give them straight fruit until close to 18 months old because I always added cereal to it for an extra nutritional kick. I also added cereal to most of their veggies.

I always mix cereal too. with veggies, fruits, heck even in yogurt! They dont eat it everyday though. I serve it as a meal 2x a week or so for breakfast. the other days we eat other nutritional things.

Separately, meaning cereal only?? If that is what you are asking, then I would say almost right away. Once I could mix it with fruits and veggies that is how they ate the cereal. I used it to thicken everything since we had reflux and it kept it from getting swatted of the spoon and making the clean up a bit easier.

Mine hated the plain cereal, so I just gave up giving it plain after a week. We still use it to thicken their food though.

My kids never liked cereal separately. Like others, I used it to thicken other foods.

Mine only ate cereal by itself for about 4 days. They hated it! With fruit or veges mixed in though, it goes down without a problem.
