This may be way TMI, but when I woke up this a.m., my undies were soaked through with fluid. At first, I thought maybe I just didn't make it to the bathroom last night  but I changed my undies and now 45 minutes later they are pretty damp, I know it wasn't my bladder this time.

Is it normal to get increased cm this late in pregnancy, or does this warrant a call to the doctor. I haven't had a contraction all morning, no backache, cramping, or other sign of ptl.

    Help!

Are you sure your membranes didn't rupture?

I'd call the doc. That sounds like more than mucous! And, even if it is just mucous, my Twin book says changes in mucous can be a sign of imminent labor.

Is it just liquid or is it mucous? If it's liquid, I would call your OB right now! I know I had a TON of white creamy mucous when I was 32-24 weeks. I was on hospital bedrest at the time and wearing no undies b/c of the catheter and they had come in and keep changing the pad I was on. I hope it's nothing, but I would at least call and make sure.

Thanks for the quick replies, I ended up calling and got in to see the ob. The good news is that it was not amniotic fluid, the bad I went from long and closed Monday to 2cm dilated (still pretty thick though) today. So she took me off work (can't say I'm unhappy about that) and told me to stay off my feet. I go back Monday for my regular appointment. She told me to be on the lookout for any ptl symptoms this weekend, but that I could stay 2cm for a long time.

So I'm officially on maternity leave, yipee!!!
