hi, previously my ob has advised that bh do not have anything to do with ptl.
I WAS only having maybe 1 or 2 a day, and then none at all somedays, but this last week i have been having LOTS.
I haven't been overly active as i have had the flu(summer here in OZ, go figure?!)
but the other day they almost hurt, were kinda crampy ne night, then they subsided. The past two days i have had like 3-4 bowel moveents a day(very unusual for me as i am on iron supps) and it was like i gotta go RIGHT NOW just for a normal bowel movement.

Last time we checked my cervi was long and closed 1and a half weeks ago at like 4.5cm which is ok right?

I am not 24 wks til next weednesday which is when i am to have a growth scan and cerviacal measurement...

so...if the bh don't hurt or get crampy, should i be ok?

You're PROBABLY just fine. Why don't you call your OB and see if you can make that appt. sooner for some peace of mind? Or, if they can't move your appt. up, stop by L&D and get checked out!

If it makes you feel better, I've been having 2-8 contractions per hour almost every waking hour for the last 12 weeks-ish. The one time I went to L&D they were coming two minutes apart and lasting over a minute and a half each, so right on top of each other. My cervix was 5cm long! So, just because you are contracting, does not mean you are in labor.

However, you are obviously concerned, and that's reason enough to go get checked out--peace of mind is priceless. :)

I'd definitely call your OB just to be safe. I was crampy and had bowel issues when actual PTL started for me.

I would call your OB and be checked out or go to L&D. I started Labor with my first baby with increased cramps and bowel movements as well. It's better to be safe then sorry!!! Keep us posted!

If you haven't already, drink a liter of water and lay down on your side; see if that helps the BH. If so, you're probably ok; but I second calling the OB just in case.

It doesn't hurt to call. I had PTL start two days ago and I ALMOST didn't call. So please call and just see what they say. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I would also drink a lot of water and call - you should just call with any question really! if they think you are calling too much - oh well!! at least you are still pregnant with healthy babies! and that's all that matters!
