My mom has a pool and we go swim every Sunday. Well my oldest dd(12) & my nephew(12) & my niece (3) was already in the pool. My mom and I both had the babies and so I handed Hope to dd to put her in her floaty. Well she got her in and then we handed her Grace and she was putting her in. Well Hope had kind of floated away but not far. The next thing I knew Hope had somehow fell out of her floaty (this had never happened before). I immediatly jumped in the pool to get her. My nephew had already got her out of the water and then we looked over and Grace had fell out of her floaty. My dd had moved away from her to come help Hope so she went back and got Grace out of the water. Everything turned out okay but it scared me to death. How did both of them fall out at the same time and the same way when it had never happened before? ( not really a question... I have just been thinking this to myself)

OMG that IS scary ! We have a pool .. and as much as we love it .. it scares me to death ! Accidents DO happen to even the safest parents. I'm glad everything turned out ok for you .. you must be shaken up. I had an incident with our pool a few weeks ago and it shook me for a few days, but was also a learning experience.

I'm sorry you had such a scare, but I'm really glad everything was ok!

OMG again! I'm glad that everyone is okay, how scary for sure! I would highly recommend floaties that go on their arms, the rings were to scary for me also.

The fear of my children possibly drowning has often kept me awake at night. How absolutely terrifying for you!

My parents put in a pool last year, and I was against it all the way for this reason. We have had a WONDERFUL time swimming there this summer, and the boys are great in their water-wings. However, when there is a lot going on in the pool, it can be very, very easy to lose track of those little heads, just in 10 seconds time when looking around or talking to someone. We always make sure that someone is watching and within an arm's length of them-- but still. You take a risk any time you are around a pool.

Thank God your precious girls are just fine.
