So towards the end of my pregnancy a few months ago, I heard one produce guy at the store say to his colleague, "oh look, now we know where all the watermelons have gone." HA.

We were talking a man at the zoo this summer who had twins boys with him and told him we were having twins (I was obviously showing) and he said his wife got "freakishly large" and looked like "a torpedo hit her from behind" Obviously she was not there and it gave me something to look forward to :) Now it has become a joke between me and my husband... and I still have weeks to go! AHHHHHHH!

:woah: Okay, I'm not going to lie, the watermelon comment made me  BUT that's so not cool when you are pregnant and hormonal!

I never got the big comment, I got the comments that I was too small for twins and was I sure. <_< I was far along, ummm, I think we know.

I got the "torpedo" comment as well! I also sent a pic at 34 weeks (I was measuring 41 weeks) to my mom who forwarded it to the whole family...geez thanks for that...I got several comments that my belly looked like the nose of an airplane :D It's amazing to look back on the pics now, my belly was huge!!

I have not gotten the torpedo comment yet, but I do get the "you still have 2 months? You look due now" Yes, I know... thanks :) Although I feel like a torpedo! And my kids are quick to point out that I am getting an outy!!

Yeah, it's not funny when you are pregnant. But it is when you're not! :rotflmbo: It was hard for me to comprehend just how large I was. It was freakish, though.

This is a funny thread. I never got on your huge comments. I was always asked if they were sure I was having twins. I didn't get that big with the boys.

Oh the memories! Right it down in a book, so you won't forget it(could you?).

That reminds me of when dh and I went and got ice cream after dinner. It had to have been summertime, so I had at least two more months to go, if not more. The gentleman in front of us-who was there with a kid-kept looking at me. After he paid, he turned and said to me, "I have to ask, but are you having quintuplets or something?" Q-U-I-N-T-U-P-L-E-T-S?!?!?! For real???

Here's a picture on delivery day:

I had more people ask me if I was on my way to the hospital when I was for sure less than 30 weeks. SO annoying to have to say "Uh, no, I still have THREE MONTHS LEFT TO GO!" So happy those days are over ... now I just deal with the crazies that ask me if my babies are twins. One in the grocery store today - boys are 13 months old, dressed exactly the same and sitting side by side in the grocery cart. I told her no, not twins. Seriously? And then I feel bad for being so snarky ...

I had my baby shower a few weeks ago and one of the games was a candy matching game with pregnancy terms. My friend who was throwing the shower could not find all the candy so 2 nights before my DH and I went to the store at like 10 pm and were loading up our arms with the candy and chocolate we still needed... all while I waddled to the check out stands!! Oh the looks I got! I saved some face by going to self check out! :) BTW I didn't even eat 1 piece of the candy but I am sure I had people at the store talking that night :)

Since Meagan's getting real, I will too. 33 weeks. I don't have a pic after that... the 33 weeks was big enough for me.

I don't even have to leave the house to get the large comments. I get them on a regular basis from my DH and kids. All 3 of them look at me and have that deer in the headlights look about them. I really think they are scared that I'm going to explode.

Funny story though, having 2 older kids throughout this pregnancy has been an adventure to say the least because they KNOW how I got pregnant and have no problem calling us out for acting like 2 stupid teenagers who couldn't control ourselves(LOL). At my first OB appointment my DH and DD went with me. DS just has not had any interest in the doctor (he's 15) except for the ultrasounds. Well, the doctor did a pelvic exam and a transvaginal ultrasound. While he was in there putting the condom on the wand my DD (12 1/2 yrs old) looks over at my DH and says "oh, they can use a condom on THAT but YOU and MOM don't know how to use one?" The doctor busted out laughing and I almost fell off the table out of embarassment. Needless to say a few minutes later we got the even bigger shock of finding out it was twins. And so it has been like that throughout this whole pregnancy. Smart little remarks but just too hilarious at the same time. It's also pretty embarassing when your DD comes home from school saying all of the kids at school are going up to her and saying "ewwww your parents still do it!". Yeah, been loads of fun.

My friend is 31 weeks expecting twins and I saw her for the first time in a month and she is huge. I know I was huge too, but it is hard to picture myself that big and I have already done it once.
Here is my pic right before leaving for the hospital at 36 weeks.

I have a pic of myself the night before the twins were born. I was standing in my laundry room folding my last pre twins load of towels I have no idea how I got through the door LOL!!!

I was at work one day when I was 6 weeks pregnant with the twins and a man asked me when my baby was due he said you must be about 6 months along - I wanted to say yeah, 6 months but I was afraid he would ask me my due date and I was too dumbfounded to calculate what it would have been had I been 6 months! When I told him 6 weeks but I was having twins, he said WOW you are going to be huge!! I should have gone along with the 6 month comment!
