In 12 hours it will all be over. So, why am I such a wreck?

His surgery is at 7:30am and I am already scared to death. The surgery itself will be simple and quick, but the whole going to sleep thing scares me silly.

    Thanks for the support!

I'm sure this is a totally normal way to feel. I have been nervous for surgeries on myself, I would definitely be with my babies. I hated them having little fevers and coughs (they even needed antibiotics) in May. I can understand you would be nervous with this. I feel confident saying that he should be absolutely fine and much better after the surgery :hug99: . Please keep us posted.

Tammy-good luck tomorrow! I will be thinking of you and your little one! He will be fine! Babies are more resilient than we give them credit for! The going to sleep thing would scare me too. My Anthony will be needing surgery on his "area" in September. It's something I have not thought about at all!

I'll say a prayer for the both of you! Post an update when you can!

Good luck-- Jackson had tear duct surgery last week and the anesthesia part was scary for me, but it was honestly not that big of a deal when it was all over with.

    You're in my thoughts!

Sending you hugs, Tammy. Kevan has been under general anesthesia twice -- two different surgeries -- and it's terribly nerve-wracking. Just remember that pediatric anesthesiologists do this EVERY DAY. The doctor should come in and talk to you before the procedure, and be sure to speak up and ask any questions you have.

We even asked Kevan's anesthesiologist if she'd gotten a good night's sleep the night before, LOL. We were so nervous the first time....and then requested the same doc for his second surgery, because we liked her so much.

I promise you, it will be over before you know it....

I don't blame you for being nervous! I was nervous before every surgery I've had so I cannot imagine how scary it is when one your babies has to have one too!
Please let us know how he makes out, I know he'll make out like a champ!
