Ive never had RLS (restless leg syndrome) but I certainly feel like I have it tonight. I just had to get up and move :silly: regardless of the fact Im exhausted :lazy: .
I started reading up on it and apparently its more common in pregnancy and people often experience it in the 3rd trimester.
Anyone else deal with this? Im hoping its a 1x thing but if not I see my OB on Thursday....

I thought it made your legs hurt too. I never had it, but I thought it also involved pain and cramping.

Generally speaking my legs hurt while pregnant; partly because I got pregnancy induced varicose veins.

Jess, I did give myself the RLS diagnosis ( )during my twin pregnancy but was never officially diagnosed with it. I always felt like I had to move, shake, change positions, etc. ALL OF THE TIME! It drove me nuts. :gah:

But the good news is once the pregnancy was over, so was the RLS! :)

    Hang in there!!

I actually got this the other night - it woke me up. Did you get it when sleeping - or just randomly during the day? I ended up propping myself up and slept sitting up for a while. That helped - and then I was able to sleep on my side again. Doing stretches may help.

Had it the whole second half of twin preg- what helped me was the sleep aid Ambien.
I have heard there is a med that can help too though with RLS specifically.
Good luck, I know it is aweful!!!

I have RLS and it got a lot worse in pregnancy.

My legs ache and moving them helps a lot and it would get terrible if I became over tired. I also find that if I slowly stretch them, especially my hamstrings and calves, it helps.
When mine gets real bad I take some Ibuprofen, stretch, and take a hot bath.

For me, being over tired is the worst thing I can do and makes it almost unbearable!

    Good luck!

I had RLS with the twins too. It was not painful, but very annoying. I would get it at night, and it seemed to get worse as the pregnancy went on. It did go away after I had them. I would get up, walk to the bathroom, then back to bed. I also would take a warm bath to help sooth them.
