That's it really. I'm tired and I need to tell some people that understand. The boys and I just played (very lazily) in the bed all morning and now they're napping. We're all three still in pj's which wouldn't usually be that big of a deal however, they slept in gowns last night and it just looks ridiculous. I feel guilty because I am so glad that they are napping right now and I do NOT feel like playing and singing and blowing bubbles and feeding and nursing when they wake up. I really don't know how I'm going to make it through today. My husband took the car and it's raining outside so we can't even go for a walk. Can someone please come over and take care of my kids? Thanks. Oh, by the way, Caleb just woke up from what must be the shortest nap in history...10 minutes! Please tell me to just leave him in there. Is 9:40 am too early for a glass of wine? ;)

hilarious- i was the same way yesterday - and the babies are about the same age! Somedays are just really tough. Many will balk - but I turned to tigger and pooh in my time of need. :) :)

It's okay. Some days I don't feel like playing either, and if it makes you feel any better, we are all still in our jammies today, and the only reason we will even get out of them is because we have to go up to the school that I taught at to see some old friends. Otherwise, we would all stay in our jammies ALL day long.

Bless your heart! The only way I get any rest is to come to work! Seriously, being at home is so much harder... I don't know how you sahm mom's do it... have a nice lazy day- sounds like the weather is dictating that anyway!!

I am right there with you today. Our babies are around the same age....I just want a day to myself for a change! I feel so selfish saying that, but I REALLY need a break!

Yeah sometimes the playing wears you down....have a pyjama party ... play some music you like and dance with your boys...and have a glass of wine whenever you feel like it...YOU'RE A MOTHER OF TWINS!!!!!!

I hear you, I have not had a good night's sleep in 7 nights now. I am just utterly exhausted. Forget housework, the only thing I have energy for is watching tv or lying on the couch with the laptop on my belly and changing diapers/feeding babies. And my DH thinks I am exagerating, that I'm not really "exhuasted" just "tired" - gotta love that sympathy! A glass of wine tonight is such a good idea, I might actually go buy some wine for tonight when my DH gets home, in all seriousness. It is his night to be on baby duty tonight, thank heavens because I am on my last leg.

A whine and wine sounds really good right, as I'm listening to DD1 scream through her second nap!

In the early days, we called their 5pm to 8Pm freak out "(un)happy hour" and would pour ourselves a glass of wine and bounce babies...

You mean it doesn't magically get better and easier at 9 months?? Your message made me laugh but I'm so sorry you're feeling worn out today. I hope you enjoyed your glass of wine ... you deserve it!!

i know this feeling well. and so does pablo. today when i got home from work the look on his face (i could hear the babies crying loudly from the end of the hallway) said it all. i walked in, he sighed, handed me the babies, and just went into a shower. in times like these, babies are lucky they don't come with a money back guarantee return policy. lol.

You know what would make pajama day more fun? If we could have pajama day together, and you could sit on my couch and we could watch Oprah (and OMG, did you watch the one about the pregnant man?!) and the kids could all crawl around on the floor. ahhhhhhh.
