UGH! I am so upset about this! I don't know why! Probably because it was at my doing! I mean-they fall down and get hurt, bruised, whatever-and I comfort them-and all is good. But this-I can't stop crying over! It just happened-so that's also why....

I put Nicholas in his bouncy seat so he could have his bottle. I then put Anthony in his bouncy seat and strapped him in. I grabbed the bottle off the coffee table, it slipped out of my hands-and hit Nicholas on his face, right under his eye. He WAILED. You know-the one where they don't breathe?? Ya-that! I tried putting ice on it-but that never works. And to top it off-he knocked the ice cube thing out of my hand-and it knocked him on the head. More crying.

I just feel so horrible. Horrible. I know these things happen...but still!

    Awww, poor little guy!

You are not a bad mommy! These things happen, and they keep happening. O did a face plant on the concrete driveway just as the bus pulled up this morning. I can only imagine what that will look like by the time she gets home. I was frantically cleaning blood off of her and putting on a band-aid the neighbor rushed out with.

OMG! The good thing about babies is they give you such unconditional love. He's probably long since forgotten about it. Don't beat yourself up too hard!

Aww it happens. Plus if you had asked me I would never have guessed that a bottle could do that... It will be gone in a few days.

Aw poor bubby!! I am sorry. Dont feel bad. These things happen all the time. I am constantly tripping my boys. They walk so fast and I end up not getting out of the way fast enough and BOOM onto the floor they go. I am sure one day someone will break an arm. :umm:

They still fit in the bouncy seat!????

I'm sorry Meg. That stuff happens to me on a regular basis. It's fine and they forget about it in a few minutes.

    I hope you feel better!

I'm sure they're back to their usual smiling selves :)

You are not a bad Mommy at all! I dropped a bottle on Sophia one time, I felt awful. The silent cry is the worst (DH calls it The Too Horrible To Cry Cry), she was fine the next day with no marks from the incident. Hope Nicholas feels better soon!

Oh poor sweetie! You are NOT a bad Mommy! You are a great Mommy! Accidents happen! I posted the other day about how I left DD on the boppy unattended and she fell off of the couch and the boppy landed on top of her. She was crying just like your little one but she was okay. Fell asleep and an hour later she was all smiles again:) Babies really are very resilient!

Dont worry--things just happen sometimes that we cant control. Just last week I put dd in her carseat and ran to get something before bucking her in--I heard a thump, turned around and there she lay in the floor. Fortunately the seat was on the ground.

 I know you feel bad and we've all been there. I actually took a picture of my girlies' first black eye and put it in their baby book with a story of what happened. Although it was upsetting when it first happened, I have a story to share with them when they get older.

OMG the same thing happened to me just over a week ago only I was at the shops and everyone just stared at me. I got the bottles out of the bag to feed the girls and one slipped out and hit Mikayla on her eye brow. She screamed so hard and I did everything I could not to cry myself. I felt sooo horrible. She is fine now and forgot all about it very quickly. These things happen unfortunatly. You work out kids bounce

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the kind words! He is totally fine-and was-shortly after it happened. Of course I had to answer the questions to, "How did he get a black eye?" Gotta love that one! Oy!
