Maia was being obnoxious during breakfast, I thought it was thatshe decided she didnt like her oatmeal today (she does this sometimes!) and I was getting really annoyed with her and finally just pushed her highchair away from me and averted my full attention Sofie while Maia pitched a fit!
My mother came out and asked what was going on, I replied that Satanetta was acting up, and she went to kiss them goodbye and said Maia stunk, maybe she was uncomfortable. I couldnt smell anything and I finished up breakfast with Sofie and brought the downstairs to get changed and Maia has poop up her back, all over her highchair, everywhere! And as soon as I stripped her down she was grabbing at her back so it must have been irritating her skin! She didnt calm down until I smeared vasoline all over her back!

How the heck did I NOT know she was covered in poop!?

Then to top it off I had Sofie halfway dressed and was fighting with her to get her diaper back on and she peed all over the place! So I had to undress her, clean her up, and find a new outfit!

    Bad day!!!

Oh and last night Maia threw herself out of the bumbo while I was getting Sofie out of the tub and smashed her face on the ceramic tile floor! She has lines on her face from the tiles!

    I suck!

You dont suck. It happens to all of us! Although I can't help but laugh at the idea of Maia throwing herself out of the bumbo. Jake did that once and gave himself a bloody nose! He did learn though ... never did it again!

    HAng in there momma!

You are a great mom! I have missed poops too. Thankfully I have not experience the full poopsplosion. On the bright side your day should only get better!

You are an AMAZING mom! Yesterday-my boys both had their bouts with falls!

Anthony bumped his head-and scratched it-from the corner of one of our end tables! I know have the soft protectors on...
Nicholas was climbing on the bouncy seats-which he does from time to time-and fell right off! They were stacked on top of each other. And-smashed his head.

    We ALL have our days!!!!

Ooof! What a rough day! Try not to beat yourself up too badly...the fact is that all Moms have days like this and many don't talk about it. I think it's good to get it out there b/c it happens or will happen to all of us! I love your nickname Satanetta...too funny! Hey! At least you can keep your sense of humor...without that, we're all lost!

OMG I have done that before! I'm like "Geez stop the whining already!!!" and then I realize she/he has been sitting in poop! I sure the heck would be whining if I was sitting in poop! LOL

Hugs to you! I hate those kinds of days!!

You are not a bad mommy! I've missed the poop thing too. (How sad that we've become so used to smelling poop that we sometimes don't notice it?! :bad: )

And I get so frustrated with the eating thing.

You DO NOT SUCK. Many things like that have happened to me. Where you are just so annoyed and pissed at their crying/screaming/fussiness only to find out that they have a pretty legit reason to be that way. I swear, it doesn't make you a bad mommy. Just a great mommy having a bad day. I still have those kinds of days at least once a week <_< (In fact, yesterday was one of them!! Today is a much better day)

You are far away from being a bad mommy. I know what you mean about the eating bit, it is one of the most frustrating things for me. I've missed poo too and wondered why in the world they were being so honery!

You don't suck! You're just human. I think we Mommy's become immune to poop smell because Luke or Sophia have laid some stinkers and I don't smell them while DH is like, "EWWW!" I have done this too before, wondering why they are fussing only to discover a massive poo in the diaper...

I always say that I am not going to win "mother of the year" when those things happen. And believe me, they happen to all of us!

I honestly worry how many eyebrows would be raised if my kids got head X-rays right now, given all the tumbles their going through while trying to learn to sit, crawl, pull up, etc...you're not alone!

Thank you ladies!!! Hopefully today goes better!!

And I definitely know what you mean on the head xrays, Sofie has had bruises on her forehead for almost a month straight now!

I've done the poop thing in the past too. Wondering why DS was fussy only to find out that he had poop all over. Gotta love blowouts!

For the bumbo, I stopped putting them in there as soon as they started pushing their legs... It's just too close to flipping over. I really don't recommend them anymore for that reason.
