I received a very sad e-mail today from my long-lost class mate's husband, announcing that Melissa passed after her long battle with Cancer - which was discovered 2 days after her twin boys were born. She leaves behind 16 month old boys. I got to see her for the 1st time in 13 years, when I heard she was in a hospital 1.5 hours from me. I saw her about 2 weeks ago. I got to hold her hand and pray for her. Both her and her family are strong Christians (as I am) and they were believing God for a full recovery. She had little miracles along the way, even having brain surgery to remove a tumor. I think she decided that she couldn't fight it any more and she knew what was on the other side. I know she is happy and not in pain anymore. The cancer had spread everywhere....after it was 1st discovered in her overies. Please pray for Melissa's family and her beautiful boys.... Em
That is so sad. I will definitely keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers. It is situations like this that really put the things in life into perspective.
How heartbreaking! Tears come to my eyes just thinking what she must have felt knowing her boys were so young.
OH I will pray for that family. It breaks my heart to think of what she had to go through and that her boys don't have a mom. I am thrilled to know that she was a strong Christian though, and that she is dancing in Heaven and she will see her boys and DH again.
Oh my! It just breaks the heart and preys on one's worst fears. Thank God she felt his prescence till the last. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.
That's so sad. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. The family is definitely in my thoughts and prayers.
They are - and you - are very much in my thoughts. My heart bleeds for the loss of their mother. Words can't express the emotions.
Thank you ladies, I am planning on going to the Funeral tomorrow morning, it's about 2 hours from here. Melissa was only 25 years old - just 4 days younger than me. I guess her boys are 19 months old now..... I hope this picture works.... Melissa and Family
QUOTE Melissa was only 25 years old - just 4 days younger than me. I guess her boys are 19 months old now..... Such a young age... really makes me think! This is so incredibly sad... :cray: Aww such a beautiful family, and what precious boys!!
wow, what a miracle that she was able to have those twins... How ironic that God would make that happen in such a miraculous manner, and at the same time we have a hard time understanding why He didn't also miraculously heal her. I can't imagine what her family is going through. I pray that God would provide many, many loving arms for those little boys as they grow up. I've got tears in my eyes just thinking about it. But so glad that she was confident in her eternal destiny. We know that she is truly rejoicing with our Lord, then.
