I'm so sad today!

Last night my two decided they did not need their "baby seats" anymore! I thought it was fluke and took them off. Well, today they absolutely refuse them...I am so sad. They really aren't babies anymore. We are almost potty trained (except at night), they don't have binkys anymore, no more zip up jammies (they say those are for babies), no more cribs, the only thing we have left are the carseats!! How do I slow this awful growing up thing down????

I know, it's like you just want to put the brakes on this growing up thing!! Meghan will still sit in the booster, but Nolan doesn't.

:cray: There is a potion, but you'll have to PM me for more details. :hug99: I'm sorry you are sad, I get like that too. I'm happy they are growing up into great little people but miss my "babies". :hug99:

Do you also have a potion to make them sleep in their beds and listen to me the first time...and while you are at it, is there one for whining????

I must be the only one rejoicing that Ellie (2) stopped using her booster seat last week and decided 2 days ago she was ready for a toddler bed. It is bittersweet, but I am so ready to be done with babies. Of course, it helps that Ellie is so tiny (21 pounds and 29 1/2 inches) that she still looks like a baby.

Oh, all my girls, even my 5yo wear zip up jammies in the winter!!

Wow do I ever know the feeling. We got rid of the highchairs about 3 months ago, Katie ditched the zipup pjs around Christmas and only wants gowns, Joshie now refuses zipup pjs, they have been in toddler beds since November, they can drink out of cups with no lids like pros now (even though they still get sippy cups) Katie is going to the potty all the time now...I am so sad about my babies growing so fast

You are never too young for zip up jammies...they make them for adults!

My advice? Print out your post and refer to it in 14-15 years when you wonder if those creatures are EVER going to grow up and get out of your house!!!! :D Trust me, some of THOSE days crawl by so slow you wonder if you're going to live long enough to see an empty nest, or more specifically, if your child will live that long ......

(Oh and of course, don't forget that just about the time you're all comfy and cozy in that lovely empty nest, your oldest will come back with all his *stuff* in tow ... my 27-year-old did that in August and I'm STILL wondering when he's going to get his own place!!!! <_< )

Just kidding (well mostly, lol). The years do zoom by too fast and one day you'll turn around and can't believe your babies are all grown. But your joy will be magnified even more when you have a loving ADULT relationship with your child.

Enjoy these days and cuddle those little ones extra tight when you can! :)

My oldest baby just turned 21 and trust me when i say .. it goes by in an instant. I find myself remembering her as a baby just like it was yesterday. I feel SO fortunate to have been given a chance to be a mommy again and I dont take a single second for granted. :)

I've been lucky with my 2 youngest, they still like jammies that zipper and sleep with their lovies. They still love to cuddle and kiss. I am hanging on to these moments by a thread though !

The zippered jammies remind me of when I was about 8 or 9 and wore them....
We would get in trouble if we were caught sliding down the stairs...but it never did stop us....it was like we were going sledding!

There are days, especially now, when I wish I could make time stand still. I make sure I take that extra moment to get my kisses and cuddles now. It goes by way too fast. You blink and they are almost 12....
