I spent an entire five minutes building the kids a super special secret tunnel in the family room and they won't go near it! All of my hard work in vain :) Here I thought I was being SOOO Creative. They are climbing on the Huggies boxes instead.

:D I know the feeling!! around here it is always the simplest thing that gets played with the most!! I spend all my time trying to find these really neat things to do with them and the box takes the cake!! your tunnel sounds really cool!! :D

yep you cant beat a good old box eh...trouble is when you only have one box and really need two..or three so save on the fights..beats any toy hands down I reckon..and good for a few days before they get board with it...

Lesson learned: Boxes, wrapping paper & tissue paper are much more fun!

PS. I giggled at your post: I'm so mad with a screen name as Joyful. :p

    Isn't that the way?! LOL
My sons love the diaper boxes (we get the huge ones from BJs)...they can play in/with one for days!

Oh Man, I wanted to play in it so bad, but I am a whale of a woman at the moment and couldn't fit :( So very sad

We've found a twofer at our house. Now that Maxwell House is coming in the plastic containers, I save them for the boys. They turn them upside down and use them for a stool to sit on the watch the Mickey Mouse Club. They also use it for a drum and a stool to help them climb and reach things they shouldn't, and now I've put small toys in it so it rattles when it shakes. All the expensive and nice toys they have and the Maxwell House container is their prize toy. I'll have to put a box down in here and see if they like it as well.

Doesn't it stink when you put your time into something and they couldn't care less? Don't give up yet, though -- maybe they'll wake up from nap or something and suddenly find it fascinating. Maybe you could make a trail of Cheerios leading into the tunnel...
