    Hi Girls ~

I have been viewing the forums for a couple of weeks and thought I would register. You all seem to be awesome and I have learned so much already! I am 22 weeks with fraternal girls through IVF/ICSI (#1!)! I have just been put on modified bedrest for shortening cervix and funneling. I plan to post over on the bedrest sub-forum, as I will have lots of idle time for the next few weeks!

Is anyone else expecting girls in November? Would love to chat! I don't know many people who have had twins, so I'm sure I will seek support from this forum!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself!

Welcome to TS! This site saved me during my nine weeks of bedrest- I know it will keep you occupied too!
Check out the Big Sister program where you will be matched up with someone who can offer advice, support, friendship on a more "personal" level. My Big Sis was a great support while on bedrest and still is there when I need her.
Good luck with the remainder of the pregnancy- hope to "see" you around!

Hi Jen!! I'm also due in November! How exciting. I was put on modified bed rest last week due to high blood pressure. I'm expecting identical boys. Congrats on your little girls!!

Hi Jen & WELCOME to twinstuff!!!!!!!
congrats on your pregnancy & YAY for baby girls :)
I was on mod. bedrest for the last month of my pregnancy & spent a whole lot of time on here (still do!) - it was a great way to pass the hours & learn so much from all the other awesome twin moms!

    Hi there and congratulations!
I, too, just joined this site. I read it all throughout my
pregnancy and wish I would have joined then, but just
recently did after my girls were born.

We went through IVF as well and I got pregnant with twin
girls on my second IVF, after switching doctors. I was put
on bedrest at 18 weeks and had the girls right at 36 weeks!
My cervix was shortening and I had a cerclage.
My doctor put me on modified bedrest and said I could
get up to eat and shower, bathroom, and other little things.
However, I was so paranoid that I took my bedrest very
seriously. I had most meals made and brought to me. I was
lucky to have my mom come over every single day! I took
showers every other day and basically moved from the couch
to the bed! I'm sure I was a little extreme. But, after going
through two years of trying to get pregnant and then two IVF
cycles, I wasn't messing around with it!

This site was so informative. The first thing I did in the morning
was to jump on the computer to see the new posts!

    Good luck with everything!

Congratulations on your twin girls! I wish I knew what mine were yet, crossing my fingers for a boy AND girl. But I would love some twin girls too :). Good luck to you, hope you're taking care of yourself on bedrest.

    Hi,

I'm pregnant with IVF twins too from our first cycle. We're having a boy and a girl although we thought they were identicals to start with as we did a SET! It seems we somehow managed to conceive naturally the same cycle as the IVF (murphy's law I guess). We're totally thrilled about it though!

I'm 21 weeks so due late November too (although 40 weeks is 8 December but not expecting to go that long). Look forward to chatting with you and good luck with the bedrest. I had 2 days of strict bedrest at 15 weeks following my amnio (and major fluid leakage) and it drove me crazy but you gotta do what you gotta do for the babies right?

Thank you so much for all the warm welcomes! It's great to know there are others who are experiencing the same exact thing that I am!

Does anyone know much about cerclage? I am 22 weeks and have an OB appt today. The dr. said they may do a cerclage because my cervix is shortening and I am starting to funnel. Hopefully I will find out more today.....

I had a cerclage done at 19 weeks when my cervix was down to 2.0.
Let me know if you have any questions.
