Hello to my fellow twin moms. I joined a few days ago searching for answers for why my little girl wasn't eating well. Her brother is powering through his bottles- 4 to 6 oz, 5 times a day, but she recently starting zipping her lips after 2 to 3 oz, except at bedtime when she finishes 5 oz very quickly. She loves her cereal, so when she stops the bottle, I've tried mixing the remainder in with some cereal, and she finishes no problem. Not sure if it could be teeth, or if she just likes spoon feeding better...I wanted to see if others had similar issues, and how you handled. Thanks!

    Hi there and welcome!!

It could be teething, my babes don't want to eat when they are teething. Have you tried Hylands teething tablets? They are homeopathic but available at walmart, it takes the pain away from their teeth and let's them eat (and sleep) better! It might help!

:welcome: to Twinstuff! It could be teeth, maybe sucking on the bottle is hurting her. Good that you found out she will take it in cereal, though, at least she is still getting her formula! Hopefully, it will be a short phase & she will be back to taking her bottle soon!

:welcome: It could be that she is getting too many solids per day and if you decrease the amount a bit she will start to take her bottles. How many times a day are you doing solids and how much?

Welcome! I love their names!! So cute! My boys went through phases of eating less (and still do). The other ladies had great ideas of why also!

Thanks for your help and suggestions. We are only doing about an 1/8 of a cup of cereal a piece, once a day, unless she won't eat her bottle, then that gets mixed with cereal. I'm planning to add sweet potatoes once a day this week. No acid reflux either. I'm pretty sure it's teeth, as her brother, who LOVES to eat, is starting to fuss when he eats too. Hoping for the best! Thanks for all the welcomes too!
