The girls are just so much fun right now. After last week's insane spurt of learning to pull up and stand, with the requisite face plants and bruises, this week its like they've been doing it their whole lives!!! I went into their room this morning and both were standing in their cribs facing each other, holding on with one hand, trying to hold each other's hand with the other. OMG it was cute and I really should just always have the camera on me because I wish I took a picture.

The other thing that is really great about this age is that they are starting to get humor which is so cool to watch. We play the 'princess' game.. I was going to call it the "CEO of a major fortune500 company" game, but that name just doesn't flow. The only thing you need for princess game is a receiving blanket over your head so you have 'pretty princess hair!' They love it and think its the funniest thing ever when I put a blanket on my head!

Last night I put Meara in one crib with some board books while I put Ana in her PJs. I looked over and she was sitting in the crib, turning the pages babbling quietly to herself and then laughing. I almost died from how cute it was! Again, should have had the video camera.. da*n! Last week all they did was eat the cardboard.. this week they pretend to read!

Last cute thing and then I'm done with this post... Their christmas PJs were these cute red zip up fleece sleepers from OshKosh that said "B'Jolly" on the front and had little elf pompoms (securely fastened!!!) to the feet and hood. I put it on Ana first and then dressed Meara. When Meara was all dressed Ana looked at her and started cracking up like "OMG you look hillarious!" Well Dh held Ana up to a mirror so she could see she was wearing the same thing and she stopped laughing, then looked at her reflection and then Meara's and started laughing even harder!! So cute!

To those of you in the trenches with tiny babies that don't sleep thru the night and are at that difficult fussy stage, take heart that in a couple of months your tiny babies will be gone and you will miss them so much, but you will have two amazing little *people* that are just so much fun to hang with! -Leighann

I couldn't agree with you more.

I am just loving this age soooo much. Even DH commented this morning at what little people they have become and their personalities are just booming.

Sienna and I came out of the nursery on Christmas and DH had put Jordan's Santa hat on him - Sienna took one look at him and burst out laughing. It was so spot on.

They have so much fun together and play so well together right now. They chase each other round the living room. Well Jordan chases Sienna and she is laughing so hard to get away she just collapses and he pounces on top of her and she laughs so hard I can imagine it hurts. So much fun.

Oh gosh yes! Mine are a little younger than yours, but they are just SO much fun now. Sitting, crawling, playing independently, babbling up a storm, eating grownup food... Communication is also a lot easier - it's so much easier to tell now what they want. (Especially if they crawl over and pat my chest and make a birdie mouth at me. ) We've started doing baby sign with them & are looking forward to the day when they'll catch on - that'll be cool too.

They're not babies anymore, they're little PEOPLE!

OMG! DH and I were just talking about this too! It's like every single day they do something that is over-the-top adorable. They're these magical, beautiful, smart babies that have flashes where you can totally see the little girl in them. Its so much fun to watch them and play with them everyday. :) It makes me kinda glad I lost my job! :pardon:

Thanks for this post. I can't wait! We were actually just celebrating the fact that we could sit the boys in a high chair (with stuffing of course) for 5 minutes at lunch today. I'm so excited about the next few months!

I SO agree! The personalities that come out at this age are just awesome. And how funny about the book thing as I JUST said that last night!! My girls got alot of books for Christmas and I told my Mom - Natalie actually looked like she was trying to read it as opposed to eat it!! And I've been telling anyone who'll listen that I got to actually read to my girls for the past 2 nights! They actually sat still on each leg and I read them 2 books. I haven't been able to do that yet as they would not sit still or lose interest very quickly etc. it was SO neat to read to my girls like that! I'm having fun too!! Ain't it wonderful!!
