old news, i know...but even though i found out at six weeks gestation and have written in a pregnancy journal to the babies since the first positive pg test, it hasn't felt *real* real. well...now it does! i am actually starting to let myself believe that i *will* be holding *two* babies in the near distant future.
i am so excited! anyone else have it take a long time to really sink in?

It is definitely becoming more real. I too had intuition about twins. I just knew I would have twins. Very weird and surreal that it actually happened. However, with all of the forethought I still wasn't prepared for the news. I was as shocked as one can be. It's starting to become very real though. I've been around my new nephew, born 4 weeks ago. Everytime he's crying or needs something I think "oh man...this times two..." It's scary but so very exciting.

    Congratulations on your twins. :)

My twin girls are going to be 4 in October and there are days I STILL cant believe I have them. Being a mother to twins is a very special thing, one not many people can claim. Yes life is busy, things can be hard but twins truly are a blessing.

I still can't believe God blessed us with twins either. We wanted 2 more kids but the endocrynologist said only one more pregnancy so we were so thrilled and blessed when we found out there were two in there. I love God so much for giving us two and I know everything is going to be okay. Funny thing is is that this pregnancy for me has been no complications for me at all and twins and juvenille diabetes is supposed to be double the risk.

LOL. It took us a couple months after the babies were born for it to really sink in. :D

I am really excited. I dont think it sunk in yet, but I am ecstatic. Sometimes in middle of the night I wake up and just imagine how life is really going to change.

Even after they were born, I would sometimes look at my husband & say "we have 2 babies!?!" I don't know but it all seemed to happen so fast & there are days that I still can't quite believe it.

every now and then it hits me and i get so filled with excitement (we both wanted twins, and i think i always knew i'd have twins). like today i was in the car and called up DH and said, "WE'RE HAVING TWINS!!!!" i just get so excited! now, last night we went to babies r us to start registering for stuff, and that's when it hit me that i'm going to BE A MOTHER! THAT is what scares me!

New Years eve, my hubby and I were sitting in the recliner watching the ball drop and he turned to me and said I'm ready to be a father. I was so excited bc I've been ready for a few months but wanted him to come to it on his own. On 1/24/07 at 11 days late for my period I took a HPT and was shocked that it was positive already! We went to our first ultrasound on 2/22/07 and there were two babies!! For weeks we would look at eachother, laying in bed, call eachother at work, or just while sitting around and say twins!! It wasn't until I wwas 16 weeks and my 2 year old goddaughter touched my belly and said "2 Babies??" That it really hit me. Now its sunk and buying two outfits every time we go shopping makes it sink in more.
So maybe it is normal. Either that or we are both weirdos!!! :p
    Good Luck!!

I spent most the pregnanacy randomly going "wow, we're gonna have TWO!" among other odd thoughts and now they are almost three there have been a number of days where it is still a bit surreal that we have TWO! I even had an "oh wow twins" moment in response to a commercial with twin infants, and had to go oh yeah, I did/and am doing that! Most DEF. a sleep deprived moment!

Alot of fun, alot of energy a LOT of attitude-at the moment and a lot of work. Have fun, it goes by really fast! My DH called the first year the longest/fastest year of his life.
