I have been really worried lately because neither of our girls have said "gaga" or "dada" or "mama" or anything like that yet. At their 9 month app't the doctor wasn't too concerned because she said they were vocalizing (making noises), they responded to their names etc. So, fast forward to the past couple of days and Natasha has been babbling up a storm. She hasn't made any sense until 15 minutes ago. Now she is saying "ga tha da", "tha tha tha", "gaga", "da tha", "tha la ga", "ya ga" constantly. She won't stop! I have called my DH to say that she sounds like she is only hours away from saying "dada"! I seriously have tears in my eyes, I am SO happy!!! :) I know her sister isn't too far behind!

    YAY for talkers!

Yay!! I'm so happy for all of you!

I totally know how you feel, worrying about making vowel sounds. Ben didn't start babbling until about three weeks ago, and I was beginning to worry. It is the sweetest thing when they start to say mama and dada (even if they're not attaching you to it). A few nights ago as I was laying Ben down in his crib, he softly said "Mama". I DID cry!

I think when they say da-da it is about the cutest thing ever (even more than ma-ma). Maybe because of the twinkle in my DH's eye. :winking0009:
