Hey all, I'm new here and this is my first day here.
My question is do anyone have pains in there stomach when they try to inhale? I'm only 21w 3d but dont know if this is normal or not. Is it? and should I call my doctor. I also feel the pains when I try to move around.

What kind of pains, sharp? Where at? Under the ribs? It all depends, but if you are in doubt, follow your gut and call your OB. Strange pains and twinges are the norm because everything stretching. I remember about 21 weeks, I would get a burning sensation that would sort of like roll across my stomach. It was just normal growing and stretching pains.

Sounds like round ligament pains? Does it feel like you will pull a muscle in your stomach if you move too quickly??

Welcome to TS! Congrats on your twins! :hug99:

I feel it in the top of my stomach, i've had round ligament pains but I usually feel them at the bottom. This pain is like in the top part of my stomach and under my breast. I can barely inhale a deep breath without feeling the pain.

I had all kinds of strange aches and pains especially around where you are. From 16 weeks to 23 weeks was my worst stretching period. If something is ever contantly bothering you for more than a couple hours or you are in severe pain call your doctor. Usually I would have one pain and then the next day a new pain would replace the one I had the day before. As one of the pp said it is probably round ligament pain, usually it is fast and sharp and goes away quickly .

When in doubt, call your ob...it doesn't sound like the normal ligament pain, but you never know. :hug99: s, let us know what you find out, if you call.

I had these weird pains over my stomach like it was a muscle cramp (not like a contraction), but a sharp pain - usually after I ate, at about that time. Doesn't sound like round ligament to me either - too high. If you are worried, I'd make the phone call. And welcome to TwinStuff! Here's to a great pregnancy!

Hey everyone thanks for the advice, I did call my doctor, he said it was probably one of the babies at the top of my stomach in a ball and the only thing I could do was take a tylenol for the pain and rest. I did and I felt better when I woke from my nap.
