So, I am finally back - back on TS and back in my own home (after 5 weeks). I am so thankful to be home! My hubby decided we needed to remodel the house at week 28 of the pregnancy. We had an old farmhouse that had scary, fall-down-easily stairs. They were not safe, so he hired a remodeling company and we moved in with the in-laws. The in-laws were great.......BUT, there is no place like home. For 5 weeks, I slept (LOL) in a twin bed with my pregnant belly and my three year old, while my husband slept on an air mattress in another room. I was about ready to have a nervous breakdown! I spent many nights crying......wondering when or if I will ever get back into my own home.......if my babies will wait until I get back in.......and how in the heck I will get everything cleaned/organized/decorated once I was back in. I even finished out the school year - which was week 32 of the pregnancy. Couldn't have lasted another week working and not living in my own home. We were able to get back in our house last week, just as I was put on modified bedrest (only allowed up for an hour at a time because of my swollen feet/legs). I managed to get the downstairs somewhat in order, but the upstairs is a wreck. The babies' room is/was my 3 year old's playroom, which we haven't even begun to clean out and organize. At this point, I don't know if it can even get done in time. And then there is cleaning up the 3 year old's room, which is a TOTAL disaster zone. I guess what gets done, gets done! But, I am glad to be back home and back in touch with all of you! Please wish me luck in getting everything done before the girls get here!
Welcome back, glad you made it through remodeling and living at your inlaws. Hopefully the babies room and your daughters room will get done soon.
Welcome back! :wavey: How nice to be back in your own space again! Congrats  Don't stress about all the things that aren't done ~ so long as you have the basic necessities everything will be OK :good:
 I'm glad you are back in your house!! You are right, there is no place like home. Don't worry about the mess, it'll be there later and the babies really don't mind.
Oh I am going thru a similar thing - 28wks tomorrow and we're headed to my parents for 2mths while our house is in the final stages of being built. No guarantee it even will be done when the babes are born and can come home. I'm glad you're home! Even if things aren't in order - you're home!!!
Welcome back Heidi! We missed ya girl and I'm glad you're back home finally! Keep those girls cookin and rest up. Our boys room probably wont be done either with me being out of commission, but it all works out in the end. Gimme a call when you are free, i'm still stuck here in bed.
Welcome back!!! There is no place like home, is there? Hopefully you will get everything in order before the twins arrive.
