Katie has a bruise on her cheek! :(

She pulled up on the computer chair and she let go and fell and her cheek landed on the turn around thingy that the wheels are attached to... she cried and cried. :cray: I put a cold wash rag on it, and that helped a little, but its a bruise and very noticeable! I feel SO awful!!!

That unfortunately is the first of many bumps and bruises. As they explore and play it happens. I know I always felt bad with my older ones when it happened and am sure I will with these two, but it is an unavoidable part of having kids. :D

It's O.K. Jamie. I bet it won't be the last time she falls and hurts herself. Poor baby and mommy...you aren't bad, these things just happen. Especially when they get mobile!

It happens Jamie. I hope it fades soon.

You are not a bad mommy! Sometimes things happen we didn't expect. It's just a bruise and will be gone really soon :hug99: .

Aww - it is so hard not to feel guilty when stuff happens, but sometimes it just does. :hug99: For both feeling guilty and for Katie's bruise.

I remember the boys getting bruises when they were little, but I had forgotten how heart broken it makes you feel. :(

:hug99: I do know that when they get bumped or bruised, sometimes I would want to cry, too.

OMGosh Jamie! You are not a bad mommy! My girls are constantly bruised... and like you it breaks my heart every time. I try to tell myself that I'm being a good mommy by letting them try to be independent. :hug99:

Very similiar thing happened to Livi when she first started pulling up, nothing says 'I'm Mobile' like a huge bruise on one's forehead.

You are NOT a bad mommy!!
