If your twins were premature, was your singleton also?

I'm currently 13w pregnant with #3. Feeling great. My twins were born 14 months ago at 31 weeks after bed rest at home and then 10 days in the hospital. My wish for this pregnancy is for no drama, no PTL, no steroid shots, no NICU.

If your twins were premature (how early were they?) were your subsequent babies also early?

    Thanks-

I didn't go into PTL but C&C came 6 weeks early due to Pre-E and TTTS. I went 41 weeks with Mason :D

Congratulations. I do not fit the peramiters of your questions since my twins were born at 38 weeks and my singleton was born at 40+1. I think you'll find that many of those with preemie twins had normal singleton pregnancies. It'll be interesting reading the results of this.

My twins were born at 35+4 due to TTTS and also pre-e. I had my singleton at 39 weeks exactly via c/s. It was an uneventful pregnancy with no complications.

My twins were born at 34w1d due to PTL...I had spent 3 weeks at home on bedrest and then 4 weeks on hospital bedrest subsequent to their delivery.

My singleton pregnancy went "full-term" to 38w5d...my water broke 4 days before my scheduled c/s

    Congrats!!!!

My twins were born at 34w2d after being on bedrest at home from 25 weeks then PTL at 28 weeks and hosp bed rest for 5 weeks followed by a few days at home when my water broke.

My singleton, was then born at 38w0d, after having my membranes stripped. I am currently 37 wks pg with #4...no indication she's planning to come anytime soon!!

I wish you a happy, healthy, EASY pg and birth!!!

W&I came at 32w5d due to pre-e. But just as Becca experienced, Grant came at 39 weeks via scheduled c-section...and was also uneventful. This time around I am having a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks.

My girls were born at 35.3 weeks but it was an induction due to cholestasis and IUGR. With Dax I was induced at 41.4 and he was born at 41.6 and I didn't have any of the same issues I had in the first pregnancy.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! My singelton pregnancy was wonderful and I had no complications! My twin pregnancy was horrible.

My twins were 31 weekers, my daughter Joy was 35 weeks. So yes, she was a little early. (My oldest is adopted, so it doesn't count as my pregnancy) However, the reasons they were early were vastly different, so I really don't see a correlation.

I was shocked at how different the pregnancies were, I actually enjoyed my singleton pregnancy!
