My wee ones started eating 1 veggie and 1 fruit at 4 months, 1 week. They eat them in the evening then bathe, play, have a bottle and go to bed.

They're going to be 6 months this week and I am wondering if maybe I should give them some sort of lunch?
If any of you ladies started feeding them solids at 4 months, when did you add more than just the nighttime feeding?

You can definitely add a meal in there anywhere you think it fits. I did one about an hour and 1/2 after first bottle and then another one an hour and 1/2 before the 3rd bottle. It worked out fine. Some days they weren't very hungry tho (still aren't).. but you can try it and see what works for yours. There is no reason not to add a meal :)

I did the one meal at 4 months...added in a 2nd meal at 6 months...and added in the 3rd meal at 7 months. By then, they seemed ready for more, and we are going away on vacation, so I wanted 3 meals under my belt vs right before we go away.

There is no wrong or right way to do it!

From 4-6mo my girls had a few tbsp for breakfast and for dinner. At 6mo I added lunch and I have been slowly increasing the amounts at their meals.
I think its really up to you. If you think they want to eat more then its really your call.

Did you give them a fruit in the morning and a veggie for lunch or what?

they don't get cereal either. Waste of calories and sugar. :)

Mine have been eating solids since 4 months, they get a vegetable in the AM and a fruit in the PM. I have not started a "meal" yet.

We did a second meal at 6 months, in the morning, and then added a third around 7 months, at lunch.
