We named them in utero -- although we did wonder what would happen if we gave Baby A one name and Baby B the other, and then they switched places. Would that mean one girl wound up with the other one's name? (As it turned out, they never switched. Sarah was Baby A and she was always further down -- Amy was Baby B and she was jammed up under my ribs.)

But we chose both names without really caring which one went to which baby. We named Baby A "Sarah" because it was the first name we agreed on -- so for a few weeks, we had Sarah and Baby B. I never thought about how we would explain it to them -- though I assume we won't be telling Amy that her name was our second choice.

I had names picked out as soon as we found out it was twins. It wasn't until the day they were born that we for sure decided who would be who. I always thought A was the more mellow baby and B was the wild child, always kicking. SO I thought that Gracie seemed like a more peaceful name and Haley seemed rambunctious. SO thats what we went with. And let me tell you, Gracie is my fiesty one and Haley is my go with the flow girl. I couldn't have had it more wrong. I think Haley just had Gracie hog tied for some peace in-utero.

We picked the name Chase for a boy before we knew we were having twin boys, so it seemed to fit that he would be Baby A, and Cameron would be Baby B.

We had names picked out, and kind of had an idea of who was going to be named who when they were in utero. But I have a 3 year old son and about a month before I was due I had the idea that HE should pick which baby Jacob is and which is named Boden. We have video of him at the hospital choosing who is who. Whats funny is he chose the opposite of what we were expecting to name them! But I couldn't see Jake being a "Boden" and vice versa. How cool is that for our older son to tell them one day that he named them!!! [IMG]

We had their names picked out before they were born and we just stuck with them. Joe said that when they brought Riley out I said "That looks like a Riley" and I don't remember that for the life of me (good drugs).

They had individual names from the day we found out g/g. They never changed positions; Baby A was always on the right adn Baby B on the left. We didn't tell anyone their names till like a week before they were born, though; didn't need the whole family's opinion haha

We named them in utero and stuck with those names. We based the names on their sizes and personalities while in the womb. Many moms will agree that, if you pay attention to how the babies act while you are pregnant, you can get a good idea of how they're going to be once they're born. [IMG]
