Did you give them their individual names while they were still en utero? Did you stick with the original names, or change them after you met the babes?

    Just curious [IMG].

I knew that I wanted to name them James and Sean, James was the one on the right side of my tummy, and Sean was on the left side. I just knew, and their names fit them perfectly.

I chose them while their were still in my belly.
They already seemed to have their own personalities. One was the lazy one the other very active.
They're still like that so their names match them perfectly in my opinion.

We had our girls name's planned from the begining, it wasnt hard at all, we had two girls names and two boys names. it was just chosing the middle names, whihc we did after they were born.

We had the boys named from very early as well. I loved it because i spoke about them, how Kye was awake in the mornings and Callan was busy at night, and they are still the same. This was great for our eldest son because i think he bonded with them and accepted them very well.
    Best of luck

We had four names picked out and were waiting until we saw them to see what fit. We knew for sure we wanted Lauren. I ended up calling baby A Lauren, kind of a long story, and it just seemed perfect once we saw her. At the end we decided we were strongly leaning toward Emma. I had always pictured Emma with dark hair and a big round face and that is exactly what she is. The other names we considered were Lindsey and Sarah. Good luck!

We knew if we had one baby boy the name would be Seamus. That is Gaelic for James and that is my FIL name and knew our first boy would be named after him. So since Baby A would coime out 1st, he was Seamus. Then we names baby B after my dad, Nicholas George

They are fraternal so we did say if baby a comes out looking Greek, then we will name him Nicholas and if Baby B has read hair and looks Irish, then he will be Seamus and our initial naming after FIL would go out the window!

We picked our names out around the middle of the pregnancy and determined who would get each name by "alphabetical order" - Since A is first in the alphabet, Baby A got the name that starting with "D" and Baby B got the "L" name. It might sound goofy, but we wanted a logical way to be able to explain to the babies someday why they were given their names that seemed fair. We picked the perfect names for their personalities so it worked out well!

I loved being able to call them their names while they were still in my belly - even though I could only use them around my DH since we decided not to tell anyone else the names until they were born.

Very much the same here except mine were top/bottom not side-by-side. I knew by personality. It worked out PERFECTLY.

Casey is very much "Casey" in my mind and same for Mandi. And, it's oddly funny that Mandi's name was chosen by DH and she looks just like him and has so much of his personality while Casey is a name from my family and she looks just like me and has so much of my personality.

I chose their names and a few weeks later decided which baby was which. Thankfully their names match their personalities

Mine are named after my grandmothers, and grandma Kate was smaller, so we decided whichever baby was smaller would be Kate. Turned out to be Baby B, so A became Lillian.

We had names picked out while I was still pregnant. Claire was on my right & Susie on my left. When they were born, we tried to change their names, but they wouldn't stick! So, they go by their middle names: Emily Suzanne & Charlotte Claire.
    Good luck!

Once we found out we were having boys at our 22 week u/s we chose names and stuck with them. I was on hospitalized bed rest at 24 weeks for the duration of my pregnancy so the nurses got used to calling them by their names as well. We even have u/s pics that the tech was nice enough to put their names on. It is really funny, Kristopher had chubby cheeks in this picture and today he still has them, and Jayson was stretching in his named pic and he still loves to stretch all of the time.

We had Alivea's name picked before we knew we were having girls. We had other name's we were thinking of but couldnt agree on any of them. After we found out we were having 2 girls, we picked Kaytlin's name shortly afterwards. We had this huge list for both of us. One with the names I liked and one with the names he liked. We switched lists and narrowed it down and that is how Kaytlin got her name...We still have a boy name picked if we ever have one [IMG]

We named them by the order they came out! They moved around so much and were the same size most of the pregnancy we couldn't name them then because Peyton Manning is older than his brother, Eli.

I'd read somewhere that it would be nice for the younger twin to have the name closer to the beginning of the alphabet as that way they'd be first in something.

So we named baby A Tal Hannah (a first name we love and a middle name after both grandmothers) and baby B Maia Jade (after their great grandmothers).

Then they swapped positions so Maia became baby A [IMG].

Thank goodness they did, as their names suit them perfectly. Each of them looks like the ones she's named after.

We picked their names after a very auspicious dream I hate as soon as I found out I was pregnant. We each picked one name. It just happended that dh's favourite girl name matched into the dream I had had and the one name I had picked based on it just perfectly. I asked dh which one he wanted to have the name he picked and he said baby a. I never found out why and he doesn't remember how he decided that. I'm glad he did decide though because I would have had a very difficult time assigning names. We always knew who baby a way regardless of position since Nefeli was conceived about 5 days before Iris and had a steady weight difference from day one.
We didn't tell anyone the names till the babies were born to make sure that they were right for them and indeed they were!

We picked out names while I was pregnant, Liberty was on my left and Leighanna was on my right. In utero Liberty was more active and Leighanna was more laid back and stubborn, and thats the way I always pictured it in my head. Now Leighanna is much more active then Liberty and they both are equally stubborn. Sometimes I wonder if they got mixed up in the shuffle of being born [IMG].

We named our boys before I had them. Baby A had been Baby A since the first ultrasound that found them at 12 weeks and hadn't given up his position so we figured it wasnt likely when we figured out names at like 36 weeks finally. So we stuck with Baby A will be Jacob and Baby B will be Jared. They matched their names perfectly[IMG]

I am not having b/b or g/g twins, but as a teacher I highly recommend individual names. I had identical twin girls in my class this year named Jamilah and Jalilah. They seriously didn't even know who was who when I called their name. They were like 2 halves of a whole and didn't realize they were not always supposed to do everything alike. I had another set of b/b twins that had individual names (Christian and Dakota) and they had their own personalities and understood they were not one person.

    Just a thought!

As soon as we found out we were pg with twins we started to choose names. We immediately found girl names that we loved and couldn't come up with boy names we agreed on. We found out we were having girls so immediately, we named baby A, Arwen Skye and baby B, Lorien Elisabeth. We really enjoyed being able to give them names right away and talking to them and about them by name. If I had to do it all over again I would do the same thing.

We picked their names after we found out they were boys - we named them based on positions - and they stuck (this was around 24 weeks or so...) I always thought I would wait till I saw them to commit - but they had such distinct personalities - and they fit perfectly.

DD and husband picked out girls name while they were in utero. They decided first baby born would be Jacinda and the second one Tiana.
They kept those names when girls were born. Middle names were another story however. Jacinda had hers from the very beginning but Tiana didnt have a middle name til the day they left the hospital.
    Names are
    Jacinda Ianthe
    Tiana Amara
All the names are of Greek origin in honor of her husband's family.

We sort of had our names picked out. But, when Baby A came out we named him Anthony and when Baby B came we named him Benjamin. we didn't really plan it that way, but the named seemed to fit the right baby.

I'm a Jeff Gordon NASCAR fan, so we had Jeff and Gordon until they were born. We knew one would be Nicholas, so the first one born was that. And we didn't really decide on Alexander until after he was born.

Actually my older daughters named them Crunch a munch and Doughnut head while I was pregnant with them as I was going to name them a C and a D name. However, I had to have an emergency c-section and we knew we were going to name one daughter Charlie so I figured we would name Crunch a munch Charlie. However, after I woke up and got off Morphine, I realized my husband named Doughnut head Charlie which means he named Charlie the wrong name. However, it worked out well for us as Charlie is definitely Charlie as she is a bit more obnoxious and Delanie is definitely Delanie as she is very quiet and shy.

"baby boy a" was always Cody and "baby boy b" was always Blake. No matter what they've always had the names they have now. [IMG]

we knew the two names we wanted, but decided to wait til they were born to see if they worked and who would warrant which name.

we went with our original names, wyatt and cole and they fit them just perfectly.

    Cheers,

I had their names picked out just shortly after I found out they were boys. I waited until I saw them to name them of course. Because the one who favored me most was named Jackie Lee, which is my fathers name and my middle name is Lee. Zackary looks JUST like his daddy so we named him Zackary Eugene, which is DH's middle name and his father's middle name.

Good thing they favored each of us, huh?

We chose the name Maisy first and decided the wild child-the one that kicked and moved and could never be found on the monitor -would get that name. Keira was our next name choice. It's funny, but Keira is our outspoken more intense little one.
