Do you leave them to sleep? Or do you wait around 10 minutes and then put them to bed? Not sure what to do!

If it's night time I put them to bed, in the day I just leave them. Mine usually don't wake up to much though. If they do I give them a binky and they go right out. Those things are like baby ambien for my two [IMG]

I agree with pp....I would only move them if it was night time. My mom always said, "Let sleeping babes lie!" [IMG] As long as their neck isn't super crooked.

I used to turn the swing off and leave them (in the early months). Later on I would turn it off and let it almost stop before moving them upstairs to bed!!

Same here. If it's during the day, I just leave them. At night, it's to their cribs.

Silently cheer and take some down time for yourself!

We napped in our swings exclusively from about 2-4 months. When I did bite the bullet and "taught" them how to nap in their cribs it took about 2-3 days for them to adjust. they still took their naps, it just took them longer to go down during the adjustment period.

At that age we left them. We invested in rechargable batteries tho. Now we move them to bed at night and they stay put for naps.

At that age I would just turn off the swing and let them nap there during the day. It wasn't until around 4 months that they started exclusively sleeping in their cribs. After 4 months if I noticed they were starting to fall asleep I would take them out of the swings and put them in their cribs drowsy.

I agree with Diane. Currently I turn it off, or if I catch them really drowsy, I'll put them down (if I had a rough day, I'll leave them but turn it off definitely).

If it was during the day I just left them in their swing, but if it was close to bedtime I would take them to bed.
