if I make it to a year bf, I'll have a ton of formula left over...

We had been using every formula check we got, and getting cans of samples at every doctor visit... so I have a large supply of formula. Well, breastfeeding went alot better than I could have ever hoped for, so what should I do with the cans we didn't use? Unopened cans of dry and ready to feed formula...
(I hope I'm not jinxing myself by writing this... I still hope to bf another 2 months!)
I appreciate any suggestions you have! I'm thinking maybe crisis pregnancy center donation? Maybe someone I know will have a baby? Maybe a fellow twin mom lives close? (south Chicago suburbs)

find a local pregnancy clinic type of thing.. and donate it.. Those kind of places can always use diapers and formula

I got free samples at the hospital which I never used. I donated them to our local school district, but could have donated them to the food shelf or other places.

I gave all my extra formula to a friend of mine who has 6 month old twin girls. She is BFing but supplementing also and has spent as much as $100 a week on formula!! YIKES! (okay I just read that, she must not be nursing very much anymore LOL, some people are afraid to tell me when they quit because we are still nursing WIERD!) Sorry, anyway make sure you get it to someone who needs it before it expires.

If you bought them at the store, I would try returning them. They will probably give you an in-store credit, but chances are there are other things you can buy. I would donate the samples or give them to a friend.
