If I had 1 dollar for everytime I hear "you got your hands full" comment I would
already be abel to pay for all all the formula, diappers and put my kids
    through college...
can't people be more creative with the comments!!!

Yup. I wish I could tell you it gets better as they get holder, but it doesn't. No matter. You are the blessed mommy of twins!! :)

If I could have a dollar for every time someone asks me if they are identical I'd be a millionaire!

I still hear it at least once a day. That or "wow, you must be really busy," I think people sometimes just don't know what else to say. :pardon:

Those comments and "are they identical?" despite the fact mine are b/g and do not look alike.

I like to joke with DH, because if we really did have a dollar everytime that somebody made some sort of comment, or hushed looks, or even stares.. Ohy, neither one of us would have to work anymore...

Me too! LOL! Once I finally had the DNA test done and could really answer the "are they identical?" question, people stopped asking! :gah: I still get the "boy your hands are full" EVERY day! I just say "sometimes" and keep on walkin'!

LOL! I don't mind comments as much as I get annoyed with people standing 1/2 ft away and staring but not saying anything...sure makes you feel like a freak show!

I really don't mind those comments so much. I kinda take it as a compliment in a way. But like Nancy said, I get the, "are they identical?" question on my b/g twins too. Then it is hard to keep a straight face, lol.

I get that with my three every time I go out. As a matter of fact, it is on my checks "My hands are full but my heart is overflowing."

 Someone said that to me at the park the other day when I had only Eleanor with me (she was toddling around like a crazy thing), I thought "Full? This is nothing!" but I just smiled and said "Yep, I sure do". I figure most people don't mean anything bad by it.

I get that all the time!!

    Are they twins?
Oh wow, you got your hands full!
    You are a busy lady!
Are they identical? (Forehead, meet palm.)

I was feeling particularly snarky one day and when I was out at Target with the 2, this lady comes up to me (After seeing the sbs stroller from about 20 feet away and literally ran over to us) and asks me about the twins. She followed me.. FOLLOWED ME for 5 minutes and finally goes "Wow. I can't even imagine it. You must have your hands full!" I said "not really, I have ten more at home." And she just stood there gaping at me as I walked away. "Have a nice day!" I said..

Of course its so not true but geez.. I got stuff to do, lady!

OMGosh, I so hear you! I can't even get through a grocery store w/out hearing that in every single isle! It's so annoying! I took my girls 4 & 7 yrs. old to the Zoo & at every corner, that is all I heard from people. Grrrr...

I love it when people ask if they are boys or girls when I have a pink blanket and a blue blanket on top of the car seats, just so that I won't get stopped quite as often.

I have three under 21 months -- two twin toddlers and a 4 month old. I have a unique stroller that accommodates all of them. (going to put that as my avitar if I can....) I used to HATE HATE HATE it when people said that... now I smile and say YES I do. Because it is only now that I truly believe my hands are really full. It is strange how it doesn't bother me anymore. I think before i hated it because they'd try to touch them, which they dont' do now.

I've gotten into the habit when asked if mine are twins, I politely reply, "That's what people keep telling me."

I didn't have the chance to read all the previous posts - but when people give me the comment about having my hands full, I reply "Yup! And you should see my heart!" ;)

    I LIKE THAT ONE!!!

I also get the "are they identical" and I have b/g

and the funniest is when they tell me "no they can't be twins, they don't look alike"

    I love that!

I like when people say "god bless you" in a sort of disgusted tone as if my angels are a problem...I always say "He already has, can't you see?" and I get a lot of strange looks.

Like PPs said - people don't know what to say, but they want an excuse to look at your gorgeous LOs so they say whatever canned stupid thing they can think of just to start a conversation. Can you blame them? I have twins and I still get excited to see another set  Two little people are just so cute to see together!

i get that question all the time, and my guys are identical and the exact same size to the ounce. my response these days is usually, "well i hope so!" it's usually not what the asker expects to hear so sometimes it gives me enough time to make a fast getaway before they can ask another silly question.
