My girls are identical and Mackenzie got her first tooth 1 1/2 weeks ago and the second came thru yesterday. Jordan has been acting like she's getting them but there is nothing. Wouldn't you think, being ID they would get them at the same time? My husband and his brother are Frat and his mom keeps telling me they got all their teeth at the same exact time. <_< But she adds, she's not sure if they are Frat or ID (they look like brothers, but there are lots of differences).

Also, any ones else have one that goes right to sleep for a nap and the other is in there playing, yelling and fighting it for an hour? They have been in bed since about 9:30. Jordan was just about asleep when I put Mackenzie in there. Jordan is out like a light 1 1/2 hours later and Mackenzie just fell asleep. Each time I went in there was something on the floor - her binkie, her stuffed animal . . . She'll sleep now for about an hour and Jordan will probably wake up in 10 mins or so. That said, I should probably go shower! ;)

I don't think it matters whether they are frat or id when it comes to their teeth. I think that just happens as part of their development.

Sleeping, urgh, I still have one that falls asleep right away and one that does not. Polar opposites, my two.

I don't know about ID twins - we are fairly sure ours are Fraternal - but Emma got her first 2 teeth in February, started getting 4 top teeth 2 weeks ago and Mia is just now getting her 2 bottom teeth - that is a 4 month difference!

I have read that ID do get their teeth in at around the same time. I beleive I read it in Twins! Pregnancy, Birth and the First Year of Life. Both of my girls get their teeth in at the same time, one gets left and one gets right.

As far as the sleeping goes every once in a while Leighanna will sit in her crib and make noises and refuse to sleep. The funny thing is it only happens with their afternoon nap. For the most part they get tired at about the same time. HTH

That is exactly how L&M's teeth came through, although I am not 100% sure they are ID, we haven't had them tested, but placenta was 66% and they were mono/di twins.
Anyway, about the sleep issue, no advice here, neither one of mine sleep!

Mine got some of their teeth at roughly the same time but some were different by a month or so. We didn't have the "same day" experiences others talk about. But, they tested ID.

I've had one fall asleep easily and the other continues playing. I go check because it's usually a poopy diaper that's to blame for us so if I can get him changed promptly, I avoid a big mess (they undress themselves) and preserve the nap time. Mine won't sleep worth a darn if the other isn't there. Oh, and crib tents ended the stuff on the floor problem for us.

My twins teethe at the same time. When they got their first teeth Peyton had 8 and Eli had 7. 2 months later Eli got his 8th. Since February they both have been working in all 4 of their first molars. They are ID.
