Here is yet another post asking for your expert opinions as to whether or not they are identical or fraternal. My sons had separate sacs and separate placentas, but they look very similar (at least we think so). We have a debate going on in my house because some days they are very easy to tell apart and I will say they are "definitely fraternal" and other days even I get them confused. So I figured I would get the opinions of some women with experience and see what yall think. I hope I did the links right.

YOu can usually tell by the ear, and you don't have a good pic of their ears, but from what I see, they look ID. You should have them tested!

My vote is for ID! They are too cute! My boys are frat and they don't look nearly as alike as your boys. You should get them tested and let us know!

Somebody I know also had 2 sacs and 2 placentas but bloodwork showed they're identical.

I would guess identical as well. Are you planning on doing a DNA test to know for sure?

    I have identical boys...one sac, one placenta, yep...miracle mono/mono's.
Anyway, your boys look as identical as mine look!
    Have them tested, How fun!

If Mommy confuses them - identical!
And from looking at the pictures, I have to question the eyesite of anyone who thinks they are fraternal.

I would definitely say ID! Do their hands and feet look the same? That was one of the reason I knew my girls had to be ID because there were no differences! You have very cute babies by the way[IMG]

I would say ID, they have the same nose, eyes, and mouth. One looks like hes weighs a little more, and that could make a difference. Your boys are very handsome!

I agree with the majority- your sweet boys look like identicals!

I have ID girls, and they don't look as similar as your boys (to me at least!)

Sometimes it's hard to see the differences in photos, compared to in person, I find.

    So cute!

I think they look ID as well. Do you know if they have the same blood type, this is a sign of being ID, but if they have a different type, they are definately frats. My girls had seperate sacs and placentas and are ID. I had them DNA tested when they were 4 months old.

Thank you so much for all your replies. We were going to wait to have them tested to see if any major differences started showing up as they got older. However, judging by the fact that I didn't get one response for fraternal I think we may go ahead and have them tested sooner. After reading some of the posts I did check their hands and feet and they are the same. They even have the toes of one foot spread out all the time in the same way. So I guess that should tell me something.

Again, thank you for all the responses.

I think ID...I had the same issue and used Proactive Genetics and found out that they are in fact ID. It was just good to know so when people ask, one quick answer....IDENTICAL!

How do you tell by the ears? You mean if the ears are ID?

Oh yeah I forgot... I def. think ID on all the pics but they look the most UNalike in the 4th photo. We have the same debate going on right now, but I will wait for the girls to get a bit bigger before I try to decide. Ashley looks much bigger in my pic by the ticker but really she is only one ounce bigger it is just the camera angle. On the other hand I think the girls are almost impossible to mix up, but there Pedi thinks they are ID and my OB says Frat. The debate forever goes on!! [IMG]

My boys were in separate sacs with separate placentas, and they're ID. I would be shocked if yours weren't ID! You should have them tested if you are really curious. The older mine get the more differences there are (well to me and my family). Most strangers look at them and immediately ask if they're identical.
