ID or Fraternal?

We got confirmation from pathology the other day, so we know what they are but I would like to know what others see.

I had my girls tested when th were born and it came back they were ID. I didn't believe it cause they looked so different. They are now 8 months and are looking more ID now but still have their differences. To me your little ones look ID. They are georgous.

I suck at this game. I generally wait for IVFbound to post her opinion before posting mine (just kidding) but I'm honestly not sure. My first thought was fraternal, so that's my vote. Please tell us- the suspense is killing me!!!

 

I find it hard to tell when they're this young but I'll go with ID

I am not good at this game at all! I would vote fraternal. They are both very cute!!!

 

A tough one, it's really hard when they are that little.

I'm on the fence. I guess I'll go with fraternal, but I'd love to see another picture in like a month or two. They seem to have different mouths and hair.

 

I'm going to guess ID only because if the pathology report said di/di they could still be identical. Unless they did something different with your placenta testing than they did with mine. I mean did they do a DNA test too? Our report came back di/di, so we got the boys DNA tested on our own and they are ID.

So I guess I'm confusing myself a little by thinking way too much about this.

But I do think their noses look different...so maybe Frat.

OK final answer...I don't know but can't wait to find out.

Do they have the same blood type?...I'm hoping you'll give out some more clues

 

Ok based on your u/s picture I'm going with ID. Ok final answer, but I'll probably be wrong. Where is ivfbound when you need her?

Edit: you can't know for sure without a DNA test... Pathology can be wrong.

AND btw... I only "know" for sure cuz of the ultrasound pics when we were going through the "my doc doesn't know if they're mono di or di di" scenario when you were 13 weeks pregnant. They look alike to me also BUT.. when they're this little it's soooo hard to tell.

And by saying that you got "confirmation from pathology" you are giving us the answer because pathology CAN confirm ONE PLACENTA which does indicate identicals.. Correct?

You are exactly right. Pathology confirmed there was only one placenta. I was so happy to finally get the answer.

They are definately IDENTICAL, although they don't look like it at times, but other times I can hardly tell them apart.
