Hi, I was hoping you ladies could help me out. I thought we were done teething for awhile but apparently not. Both of the boy's have decided to get their eye teeth in. This has been the worse by far. Not sleeping, screaming constantly. I feel so bad for the poor little guys. I was just curious what you have found to work better for teething? We have used tylenol for the most part. I think we have only used ibuprofen once to lower a fever. Any info you can offer would be greatly appriciated. TIA

I lean towards motrin when it comes to teething because it lasts up to 8hrs. Tylenol is every 4-6hrs. It works better at bedtime, IMO.

The eye teeth were the worst and I go Motrin all the way with teething. Our doc told us it is not only a fever reducer but an anti-inflamitory which takes down the swelling.

I usually use tylenol during the day and ibuprofen at night b/c it lasts longer.

I noticed with my boys, tylenol does nothing when they are teething. Motrin is an anti-inflammatory so we give them that before they go to bed. It seems that is the worst time for teething for them. (not sure why) I give them tylenol before shots and for a very low grade fever. Anythin 100.5 or higher I give motrin, seems to work better and longer.
