I was mortified...by my weight gain this month.

Let me just start by saying that even my doctor didn't believe the scales were right. She had me weigh twice...measured my tummy and said I was measuring just where I should be. I don't at all feel like I have gained THIRTEEN POUNDS! I was shocked. She was shocked. I knew when I was getting larger with the twins...and could tell when I gained weight, but I'm telling you, I don't know where the weight went is this month. Its just shocking. She told me to watch my diet...exercise, and lets see what happened next month, but if I have another crazy surge in weight gain then I have to see the dietician. I don't know if I am more shocked in disbelief or mortified with embarrassment. Its just so crazy b/c everyone, EVERYONE, has told me how good I was doing and looked and how my belly is not very big...and I've only gained in my belly...they must have all been lifting me up, too much.

Everyone is so different. I always gain 50-60lbs with my pregnancies. Even when I was 19 and started at 105 I gained 50. I'm use to gaining so much weight. My Dr. never said anything. The upside is that I have really healthy babies, the downside is I still have so much to lose. I hope you can figure out what it was that caused the 13lbs in one month. Course it wouldn't be too bad if you had help from a dietician. I would have loved that.

 I hate scales right now..LOL!!
I'm not sure what could have caused it but, hopefully next month will be better!

Ack, ignore the scale! :) I always gain a good deal of weight but don't necessarily "look" like I do. In my case, I make a lot of amnionic fluid and have big babies :) Sounds like you are doing just fine.

I gained 5lbs this last month, which for me, at this stage in the game is a lot. I think I've gained at least 10-12lbs so far, but most of my weight gain comes between week 20 and 35....eeek... so I'm thinking that I'll probably match my last pregnancy weight gain or surpass it. Ironically I gained 2lbs more with my last pregnancy than I did with my twin pregnancy!!! It wasn't a horrible amount of weight, but to me it felt excessive to gain more with a singleton than I did with twins! and I'm thinking that unless I start eating salad instead of vienna fingers I'll probably surpass that amount this pregnancy. LOL

Oh, I remember hitting 25 weeks.... for some reason that's really the deadliest month ( for me) in terms of weight gain.. 20-24 weeks... I remember gaining 11 pounds that month  Remember your probably retaining water at this point. It's quiet a shock to see such a big jump, but just watch yourself from now on.. it's no use crying over spilt milk
