I want to play the Identical vs Fraternal game

I have to say I think they're fraternal, but everyone else tells me otherwise.. I thought I'd ask the experts

 

Umm, this one to me is hard. I'm on the fence, but leaning towards identical. One thing for sure is that they are handsome lil guys!! Thanks for sharing!!

 

This one is tough! I'm leaning towards identical too. Mine are fraternal and look completely different! I think yours are identical.

 

I gotta say identical, look at their eye shape, their nose shape, their mouth shape, and their ear shape! :wub: Totally adorable regardless!

 

Another one on the fence! :unsure: I can see the difference in them but they look alot alike. :wacko: I'm going with Identical. :good: And definitely cuties!! :wub:

 

Thanks for the compliments!! I see similarities too, but Tanner has a thinner face.. but is also a lb lighter than Jace so maybe that's it?! Just my luck, I'll have to spend the money to have them tested lol

They are ID, at least that's my guess (I'm invoking the rule of twinstuff: any time the mother thinks they are fraternal they are probably identical )

Wow I am on the border too..At glances they look identical. then taking more time to look at them, I can see differences. Yet the longer I look, I go back to Identical...

You can't look at the cheeks, because weight differences will throw that off! Like i said, look carefully at their eye shape, their nose shape, the shape of their lips and the shape of their ears. If they are all 90+% identical, then there's a very huge chance they are ID! :wub:

I guess when I look at all of that stuff I see it. I guess I just thought that as a parent (and I have mixed them up b/f) but I thought I'd have a harder time telling ID twins apart than I do. It's so funny that they seem SO different to me.

What beautiful boys! I vote for ID too. I can see that they have different shaped heads, but like a PP said, when you study their features, they all look the same. SO CUTE!

I just noticed you're from Ontario! I am too! I live near Cobourg. Are you anywhere near? Have you actually looked into getting the DNA test done? I am just starting to. I would be interested to know what company you plan to use if you decide to do it..so far I've only found one canadian one (in quebec)

Thanks! I'm from the Kitchener area, but my first yr of college... if we'll call it college :spy: my dad calls it a waste of money... anyway, I roomed w two girls one from Cobourg and one from Port Hope!

My bro and sil have fraternal twins (they don't even look like sisters lol) and have a friend who had the testing done on her twin boys. I'll find out from her where she got it done!

 

My vote is ID...but I see differences..but I think its because I have ID's and I see HUGE differences in my girls...so I look for it in other twins. But at first glance I say ID...there adorable either way!!!

I too would have to vote identical. My boys look totally different. One quick way to rule out fraternal would be to have their blood type done. Your doctor would have to write the order but, it would be cheaper than DNA and quicker. If their types are different they are obviously fraternal. If you and your husband are the same blood type that won't work. Sorry for the rambling. This is my mind working because of my job.

I forgot to add that I love thier names too.

 

Thanks! We know their blood types b/c they were quite jaundice for the first 2-3 months of their life, they both have my husbands blood type.

ID! & I always say if you want to tell twins apart, reliably, spend 12 hours a day with them.

 

I agree this one is tough! But I think identical...one just has a thinner face.
